When looking at the top high school player rankings courtesy of Perfect Game, one position in particular is a constant in the upper half of the Top 10 – shortstop. 

The high school and travel baseball scene has seen its fair share of top shortstops in recent years, and that will continue over the next couple of years with these five players considered as the top shortstop in their respective class.

Undoubtedly the top shortstop in the country is senior Termarr Johnson from Atlanta, GA. A standout at Mays High School and with the East Cobb Astros, Johnson is considered as arguably the top prospect in the 2022 MLB Draft, as well as one of the most accomplished players at Perfect Game events in his travel baseball career.
