If you were to think of the game of baseball at the prep level, do you think more about actual high school teams, or teams such as Canes Baseball and East Cobb Baseball?

When looking at baseball at the high school or prep level, the spring season from around mid-February to early-May is obviously what will likely come to mind first. While that is understandable, baseball at that level does not stop in early-May, but it is in fact continued into the summer and fall as travel baseball kicks into full swing.

While this does happen nationwide, the southeast in particular has become a hotbed for multiple prominent teams and organizations scattered throughout the states of Georgia, Florida, and the Carolinas.

While we have already talked about one of these prominent organizations previously in East Cobb Baseball, another prominent program across the country that you also may have heard of is Canes Baseball.

Canes Baseball has been one of the most prominent travel baseball organizations across the country in recent memory. Owning teams that range from 18U to 8U, Canes Baseball recruits athletes from across the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, and Maryland with not only the goal to make it to the next level, but also allow players to travel and play in different parts of the country with some of the most talented prospects the country has to offer.

As expected, Canes Baseball has gone on to have extensive amounts of success through championships and other awards over the years, a stretch that includes a total of 21 Perfect Game national championships, as well as four PG world championships from 2013-15 and 2017.

Not only does it take phenomenal coaching to do this, but the organization has seen some special prospects wear the black and gold over the years. Included in this are over 1,600 players who have gone on to sign collegiate scholarships and over 250 MLB draft picks. Also included are some notable alumni that include current major league players such as Jake Cave, AJ Puk, Brandon Lowe, Lamonte Wade Jr, Bryse Wilson, and Jo Adell.

In addition to those names, two other Canes Baseball stars will likely join that group in the near future as top high school arms Jackson Ferris and Brock Porter. They are also likely first round picks in the upcoming 2022 MLB Draft, both of which have played with Canes Baseball.

When looking at the landscape of travel baseball overall, Canes Baseball continues to have success year-by-year as the organization not only brings in countless championships, but also puts multiple players at the next level. Plain and simple, if you were to look for the top travel baseball organization in the country, Canes Baseball might just be the answer.
