Top 5 Class of 2011 MLB Prospects: Where Are They Now?

When looking back at previous high school classes when it comes to baseball, there are obviously many that stick-out, in-particular the Class of 2011. This group producing numerous future MLB stars that went on to receive accolades including MVP’s, All-Star teams, and more. As 10 years have now passed since this talented group left the high school ranks, let’s look back and see where the top players from this group are now. Here is a look at where the Top 5 high school prospects from 2011 according to Perfect Game are now and what they have done since being drafted into the MLB.

C Bryce Harper – Las Vegas, NV

A catcher at the time, Harper switched to the outfield full-time shortly after being selected by the Washington Nationals first overall in the 2010 MLB Draft. Debuting with Washington in 2012, Harper has spent 10 seasons with the Nationals and Philadelphia Phillies where he has posted a career .915 OPS and 267 home runs. Also the 2015 NL MVP, 2012 NL Rookie of the Year, and six-time All-Star, Harper recently finished his third season with the Phillies where he led the major leagues with a 1.039 OPS.

RHP Dylan Bundy – Sperry, OK

Drafted fourth overall by the Baltimore Orioles in the 2011 MLB Draft out of Owasso High School, Bundy would appear in two games with Baltimore in 2012 before debuting full-time in 2012. The right-hander has spent seven seasons split between the Orioles and Los Angeles Angels where he has posted a career 4.72 ERA. Bundy recently finished his second season in Los Angeles where he made 23 appearances, 19 of which were starts.

LHP Daniel Norris – Johnson City, TN

Selected in the second round of the 2011 MLB Draft out of Science Hill High School, Norris began his career with the Toronto Blue Jays. After a full season in Toronto, Norris would join the Detroit Tigers where he would spend seven seasons before being traded to the Milwaukee Brewers this season. Norris appeared in 17 games this season with the Brewers where he posted a 5.59 ERA.

SS Francisco Lindor – Clermont, FL

A standout at Montverde Academy, Lindor was selected eighth overall by the Cleveland Indians in the 2011 MLB Draft. Spending six seasons in Cleveland, Lindor hit 138 career home runs with an .833 OPS while making four All-Star teams before being traded to the New York Mets last offseason. During his first season with the Mets, Lindor slashed .232/.325/.415 with 20 home runs, 63 RBI’s, and 10 stolen bases.

RHP Archie Bradley – Muskogee, OK

Drafted one pick before Lindor in the 2011 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks, Bradley reached the big leagues with Arizona in 2015 where he would post a 3.96 ERA with 28 saves across six seasons. Traded to the Cincinnati Reds last season, Bradley would make six appearances before signing with the Philadelphia Phillies last offseason. Making 53 appearances this season with the Phillies, Bradley posted a 3.71 ERA.
