Potential Top 5 2021 MLB Draft Picks
As the 2021 MLB Draft draws near, the potential top five overall picks are becoming clearer by the day. This is how the top five draft prospect rankings look, according to MLB.com.
The top draft prospect is currently Chula Vista, California, native and shortstop Marcelo Mayer. Mayer is one of the fastest rising prospects in the country over the past month, partly due to his success playing at Eastlake High School (CA) and with the San Diego Show.
While Mayer and Jordan Lawlar are arguably the clear Top 2 high school players, Vanderbilt pitcher Jack Leiter, Wake Forest shortstop Kahlil Watson and Louisville catcher Henry Davis are not far behind.
