Mt. Zion 15U Travel Baseball Team Honors Fallen Trooper

The Mt. Zion 15U travel baseball team in Illinois is playing for something bigger than itself this season. To honor fallen ISP Trooper Todd Hanneken, the team will wear a patch of his badge on the jerseys. Trooper Hanneken’s son, Nick, is on the team. According to local news, a single-vehicle crash in March claimed the life of the 20-year veteran of the Illinois State Police. ISP say this will be the first baseball season that Trooper Hanneken has not been at the park to cheer on his boys. Good luck to Mt. Zion 15U this travel season.
