Looking ahead to future high school classes, the Class of 2024 in particular is shaping up to be a special group when it comes to pure talent and potential. Leading that group is Derek Curiel, a talented outfielder from West Covina, CA.
An LSU commit, Curiel attends Orange Lutheran High School (CA) where the now sophomore appeared in a total of 26 games last year, slashing .318/.432/.393 with 16 RBI’s and 14 stolen bases. Having also played with USA Prime National, Curiel has received numerous accolades and honors so far in his baseball career that include the 2020 PG 14U Player of the Year and 2021 15U WWBA MVP.
