After missing the Class 6A playoffs entirely last season, Gulf Shores has recently reclassified to 5A where the Dolphins will be part of a tough 5A-Region 1 in 2022. However, even despite this tough region, you will find fewer teams in the state with more momentum at the moment than Gulf Shores.
The Dolphins were already set to return a talented roster headlined by the state’s top 2024 recruit Ronnie Royal III, but have also added to that returning roster a coaching staff full of collegiate coaching experience. They also have a few notable names headlined by former Spanish Fort quarterback Brendon Byrd. The Dolphins will be talented entering the next season. Where will they finish in Class 5A in 2022?
