We tell you everything you need to know about the 2025 North Oconee High School football team in this preview, including roster changes and what fans can expect from the Titans this season.
2024 Season Stats
- Overall Record: 15-0
- Points Scored: 580
- Points Allowed: 141
Key Roster Losses
The Titans didn’t lose too many players from last year’s team, but the few players who did graduate were pretty good.
First Team All-State wide receiver Landon Roldan was one of the sparkplugs that ignited the Titans’ run to a state championship last year with 76 receptions, 1,369 yards receiving, and 20 TDs. He also had four TDs rushing with 180 yards on the ground and added two interceptions on defense. Roldan is now with the University of Georgia football team after signing with the Bulldogs last summer.
Carter Mink, a 6-foot-5-inch, 250-pound offensive and defensive lineman for the Titans, will be missed as he continues his career at the University of the Cumberlands.
Linebacker Brody Taylor, who had eight tackles in the 2024 state title game against Marist, graduated.
Key Players Returning
Several playmakers are back, including the reigning Class 4A Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year.
Senior dual-threat quarterback Harrison Faulkner, who was the 2024 Class 4A Offensive Player of the Year, led the North Oconee offense in his first full season as a starter last year. In his junior season, he completed 186-of-272 passes for 3,220 yards and 37 TDs while also rushing 724 yards. Faulkner is committed to Georgia Southern University.
Four star edge Khamari Brooks, the 2024 Class 4A Defensive Player of the Year, is coming off a sensational junior season with 131 tackles, including 13 sacks and two defensive TDs. He also contributed on offense last year as a tight end with 31 receptions for 569 yards and nine TDs.
Also returning are senior running back JT Doster and senior defensive lineman Nolan Bloom, who had two sacks to help lead the defensive effort against Marist in the 2024 state title game.
What to Expect From the North Oconee Titans in 2025
Can North Oconee and head football coach Tyler Aurandt make another run at a state championship in 2025?
The Titans return just about every one of the main contributors from last season’s state champion squad, and that could spell trouble for the rest of Class 4A. With Faulkner already having made his college decision, that’s one less distraction for the senior, and when you have the classification’s top offensive and defensive players returning, it certainly raises expectations for another great season.
2025 Season Prediction
Look for North Oconee to make another state title run in 2025 and finish 13-1.
