The 6-foot-7, 230-pound right-hander from Pompano Beach, Florida, is the ace for one of the top high school teams in the country – Calvary Christian Academy. He has also played for Elite Squad 17U National.

The University of Florida commit has a fastball that sits in the mid-90s, as well as two or three other plus pitches. Painter is ranked as the No. 3 player in the class of 2021 according to Perfect Game and is projected to be the first high school pitcher taken in the 2021 MLB draft, as well as one of the top high school players taken.
