In this latest update, no new teams entering the national Top 25, but there was still some movement within the rankings, headlined by a new No. 1 overall team in the St. John Bosco Braves out of California.

As to why the Braves emerge into the top spot, that is because previously top ranked Mater Dei was upset this past Friday night in an in-state showdown on the road at Centennial, 43-36. Coming off the loss, Mater Dei drops five spots to No. 6 nationally.

Another notable team also dropped this week in Florida’s American Heritage, who fell eight spots to No. 17 following a 24-17 loss to Louisiana’s Edna Karr in New Orleans.
