With multiple weeks having now passed for a majority of teams’ nationally, our national Top 25 high school football rankings receive its’ first update of the year. Let’s take a look at the most recent update.

In the first update of the season, two new teams enter the Top 25 this week at the No. 23 and No. 25 spots, respectively, in Maryland’s DeMatha and Georgia’s Carrollton. Each are currently undefeated at the time of writing.
Other notable programs rose this week such as New Jersey’s Bergen Catholic, who were the biggest riser of the week up three spots to No. 19 overall. A pair of southeast teams, Georgia’s Buford and Florida’s Chaminade-Madonna, also rose a spot each within the Top 10 nationally.
As for the biggest movers overall, Florida’s Northwestern dropped seven spots down to No. 20, while California’s Centennial and Georgia’s Milton also both fell.
