Top 10 National Recruits Entering 2025 High School Football Season

Out of every single high school football player across the nation, who are the prospects you would consider as the Top 25 recruits overall?

Well, it most likely would be a tough thing to do to simply narrow that list down to 25 total, as high school football is simply loaded with elite talent all across the country entering the 2025 season.

However, if you had to do it, which 25 would you pick?

Here is a ranking of who we at ITG Next would consider as the nation’s Top 25 recruits as we enter the 2025 season, regardless of class, each of which we would rank a five-star recruit.

25. Jorden Edmonds, Cornerback, Sprayberry (GA)

We begin in the state of Georgia with Edmonds, a cornerback who attends Sprayberry High School. The Alabama commit played both ways as a junior, racking up 35 tackles, as well as 35 receptions for 670 yards and four touchdowns.

24. Brandon Arrington, Athlete, Mount Miguel (CA)

One of the nation’s premier athletes’ resides at California’s Mount Miguel High School in Arrington, a Texas A&M commit. Playing both ways, Arrington hauled in 31 receptions for 527 yards and five touchdowns offensively, while also compiling 26 tackles on defense.

23. Keisean Henderson, Quarterback, Legacy School of Sports Sciences (TX)

The first-of-multiple quarterbacks on this list is Henderson, a senior at Legacy School of Sports Sciences in Texas. A Houston commit, Henderson completed 65.7% of passes for 2,689 yards and 25 touchdowns, while also rushing for 347 yards and seven more scores.

22. Mark Bowman, Tight End, Mater Dei (CA)

ITG Next’s top tight end entering the 2025 high school football season is Bowman, a USC commit out of Mater Dei High School in California. Bowman hauled in 31 receptions for 427 yards and eight touchdowns a year ago.

21. Cederian Morgan, Wide Receiver, Benjamin Russell (AL)

Morgan is one of Alabama’s top wide receivers, attending Benjamin Russell High School. As a junior, the Alabama commit had 70 receptions for 1,162 yards and 14 touchdowns across 11 games.

20. Ezavier Crowell, Running Back, Jackson (AL)

One of the nation’s top running backs resides in the state of Alabama in Crowell, who is a senior at Jackson High School. The Alabama commit, who is a senior after reclassifying, is coming off a sophomore season in which he rushed for 1,964 yards and 31 touchdowns on 168 attempts, while also hauling in nine passes for 258 yards and two scores.

19. Zyron Forstall, Edge Rusher, IMG Academy (FL)

A junior, Forstall is one of the biggest names taking the field this fall for national power IMG Academy out of Florida. Currently uncommitted, Forstall spent last season at Jesuit High School in Louisiana.

18. Anthony Jones, Edge Rusher, St. Paul’s Episcopal (AL)

Alabama’s top recruit, Jones is a talented defensive prospect entering his senior season at St. Paul’s Episcopal School. The edge rusher is currently committed to Oregon.

17. Chris Henry Jr., Wide Receiver, Mater Dei (CA)

California’s Mater Dei High School is home to one of the nation’s premier wide receivers in Henry, an Ohio State commit. Henry did not play much as a junior due to an injury.

16. Savion Hiter, Running Back, Louisa County (VA)

ITG Next’s top high school running back recruit entering the 2025 season is Hiter, a talented prospect out of Louisa County High School in Virginia. The senior is currently uncommitted at the time of writing, and is coming off a season where he rushed for 1,698 yards and 26 touchdowns on 156 attempts.

15. Immanuel Iheanacho, Interior Offensive Lineman, Georgetown Prep (MD)

Iheanacho enters his senior season this fall at Georgetown Preperatory School in Maryland. The Oregon commit did not allow a sack during the 2024 season.

14. Rodney Dunham, Edge Rusher, Myers Park (NC)

One of the nation’s premier edge rushers resides in the state of North Carolina at Myers Park High School in Dunham. The Notre Dame commit had 39 tackles, 10 TFL, and five sacks across 10 games a year ago.

13. Xavier Griffin, Linebacker, Gainesville (GA)

The state of Georgia has two of the nation’s premier senior linebackers, the first of which is Griffin out of Gainesville High School. Griffin, an Alabama commit, racked up 43 tackles, 13 TFL, and six sacks across eight games as a junior.

12. Bralan Womack, Safety, Hartfield Academy (MS)

Womack is considered as one of the nation’s elite safeties entering his senior season at Mississippi’s Hartfield Academy. Uncommitted at the time of writing, Womack was a two-way standout a year ago as a junior who hauled in 54 passes for 1,045 yards and 13 scores on offense, as well as 39 tackles and eight interceptions defensively.

11. LaDamion Guyton, Edge Rusher, Benedictine (GA)

One of the highest-ranking juniors on this list comes from Georgia in Guyton, who attends Benedictine Military School. A Texas Tech commit, Guyton spent his sophomore season a year ago at Georgia’s Savannah Christian, racking up 52 tackles, 13.5 TFL, and 6.5 sacks.

10. Tyler Atkinson, Linebacker, Grayson (GA)

Georgia’s top recruit entering the 2025 season is Atkinson, a linebacker out of Grayson High School. A Texas commit, Atkinson finished his junior year with a stat line of 166 tackles, 32 TFL, and 13 sacks across 13 games.

9. Kennedy Brown, Offensive Tackle, Kingwood (TX)

The highest-ranking junior on this list is Brown, an offensive lineman out of Kingwood High School in Texas. Brown is currently uncommitted entering his junior season.

8. Felix Ojo, Offensive Tackle, Lake Ridge (TX)

Yet another offensive tackle from the state of Texas, Ojo is entering his senior season at Lake Ridge High School. Ojo is currently committed to play collegiately in-state at Texas Tech.

7. Jared Curtis, Quarterback, Nashville Christian (TN)

Curtis, a Georgia commit, is one of the nation’s premier quarterbacks, as well as players overall, out of Nashville Christian School in Tennessee. Across 13 games a year ago, the Georgia commit completed 70.2% of passes for 2,830 yards with a 40:3 TD:INT ratio, along with rushing for 637 yards and 18 scores on 88 attempts.

6. Tristen Keys, Wide Receiver, Hattiesburg (MS)

Likely the nation’s top wide receiver entering the fall resides in the state of Mississippi with Keys, a highly-touted LSU commit. Across 10 games a year ago, Keys hauled in 40 passes for 839 yards and 12 touchdowns.

5. Lamar Brown, Defensive Tackle, University Lab (LA)

The nation’s best interior defensive lineman resides in the state of Louisiana at University Lab High School in Brown, who is a LSU commit. Brown is a truly elite prospect within the trenches, seeing time on both the offensive-and-defensive line.

4. Dia Bell, Quarterback, American Heritage (FL)

The 2025 Elite 11 MVP, Bell attends American Heritage High School in Florida where he is a multi-year starter entering his senior season this fall. As a junior, the Texas commit posted a 70.6 CMP% with 2,597 yards and a 29:6 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for 561 yards and five scores across 67 attempts, over 11 games.

3. Faizon Brandon, Quarterback, Grimsley (NC)

ITG Next’s top quarterback recruit entering the 2025 season is Brandon, who returns as the starter at North Carolina’s Grimsley High School. Brandon, a Tennessee commit, led the Whirlies to a state title a year ago by completing 77.1% of passes for 2,814 yards and a 35:2 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for 625 yards and nine scores.

2. Zion Elee, Edge Rusher, St. Frances Academy (MD)

Likely the nation’s top edge rusher resides in the state of Maryland in Elee, who is entering his senior season at national power St. Frances Academy. The Maryland commit posted a total of 56 tackles, 28 TFL, 10 sacks, and three forced fumbles across 11 games a year ago.

1. Jackson Cantwell, Offensive Tackle, Nixa (MO)

ITG Next’s top high school football recruit entering the 2025 season comes from the state of Missouri in Cantwell, who attends Nixa High School. Cantwell is likely the nation’s top offensive line prospect, regardless of class, and is currently committed to Miami.
