North Oconee won its matchup against East Forsyth 41-6 and in the process maintains the top spot in our 2025 Georgia high school football rankings for Class 4A.

Blessed Trinity lost a close one to Hebron Christian, the defending Private Class state champion, by a 22-17 final. The loss drops the Titans to 3-2 overall. Meanwhile, Creekside won and remains undefeated this season.

Perry, who was ranked 10th last week, falls out of the Top 10 after an upset loss to East Coweta by 17 points. The Indians were winless going into the matchup with the Panthers.

Flowery Branch moves into the 10th spot this week.

North Oconee rolled over Class 5A Jefferson by a 35-0 final last week, and maintain a stronghold on the top spot in our 2025 Georgia high school football rankings for Class 4A. But, they maintain their No. 2 spot in this week’s Class 4A poll. Kell lost to Lowndes by a 38-7 final,  and drop out of the top 10 this week. The Perry Panthers slide into this week’s Class 4A Top 10 at No. 10.

Take a good look at Benedictine at No. 7 in our 2025 Georgia high school football rankings for Class 4A because the Cadets aren’t likely to stay ranked that low for long. Head coach Danny Britt’s team has opened up with two blue blood programs in 2025, first at Colquitt County and last week versus Buford, losing to both teams. Although they move down the list this week, they’re too good to stay down there.

North Oconee stays in the top spot, Blessed Trinity taking over the No. 2 spot after an impressive win against Holy Innocents’, and Ware County moves into the Top 10 with a win over Class 5A’s Coffee.

  1. North Oconee
  2. Blessed Trinity (+1)
  3. Creekside (+1)
  4. Cartersville (+1)
  5. Kell (+1)
  6. Cambridge (+1)
  7. Benedictine (-5)
  8. Central Carrollton (+1)
  9. Marist (+1)
  10. Ware County (NR)

Creekside remains at No. 3 following their 20-point win against Rome 48-28.

Despite being shut out by 19 points against Jefferson, Marist remains in our Top 10, albeit falling five places to No. 10.

  2. Benedictine
  3. Blessed Trinity
  4. Creekside
  5. Cartersville (+1)

Preseason – Updated 7/8/2025

Here are ITG Next’s 2025 Georgia high school football preseason rankings for Class 4A.

With North Oconee returning just about everyone from last year’s undefeated state championship squad, I’m not exactly going out on a limb to project them as our preseason No. 1 team in Class 4A.

But look out for several other talented programs, including Benedictine, which welcomes back three-star quarterback Stephen Cannon, four-star wide receiver Bubba Frazier, and five-star edge LaDamion Guyton, who’s an incoming transfer.

Earlier this year, I picked my “Top 5 Dark Horse Georgia High School Football Teams to Watch in 2025.” Two teams on that list were Cambridge and Kell, which I think are both Top 10 teams this season.

Always-reliable Marist with head coach Alan Chadwick will be strong again in 2025.

I have been an outspoken fan of Central (Carrollton) quarterback JR Harris, and with four-star running back Jonaz Walton returning this season, I like head coach Umbrah Brown’s team to make a deep run in the state playoffs.

  1. North Oconee
  2. Benedictine
  3. Blessed Trinity
  4. Creekside
  5. Marist
  6. Cartersville
  7. Kell
  8. Cambridge
  9. Stockbridge
  10. Central (Carrollton)
