St. Thomas Aquinas = NFL High School?

The Raiders of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale saw their school have 15 football alumni on NFL rosters in the 2020 season.

The 12-time state champions lead the league in players in the NFL to be from a certain school.

NFL star defensive ends, brothers Joey and Nick Bosa headline the list of players that played for the Fort Lauderdale school.

The 15 former Raiders were: Damon Arnette, Geno Atkins, Giovanni Bernard, Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, Phillip Dorsett, Marcus Gilbert, Bobby Hart, Lamarcus Joyner, Brandon Linder, Michael Palardy, Wyatt Ray, Jake Rudock, James White, and Sam Young.

Pretty impressive for that many players to come from that program and play in the league at once.

It says a lot about the culture that St. Thomas built.

You look at schools like IMG Academy who have players to come from around the country to play for the Florida prep school.

Those guys that head there already have names before coming to play.

The St. Thomas alumni are most likely Fort Lauderdale or Florida natives and were accepted to the private school.

This championship-rich school seems to set up players to go play for higher-end colleges and then the NFL.

Could St. Thomas be the best traditional football school in Florida?

It’s definitely up there with the championship pedigree they’ve built along with the multitude and quality of players that have made it to the big league from the school.

We will see if this list will be added to in the coming seasons.
