6 Florida Baseball Players Earn All-American Honors

Maxpreps released their 2021 High School Baseball Pre-Season All-American list on Feb. 8.

The Sunshine State saw six players get nods to make the team ahead of the 2021 baseball season.

A trio of players made it to the first team with IMG Academy teammates Tommy White (CIF) and James Wood (OF) getting in along with Andrew Painter from Calvary Christian.

The other three would make it on the third team.

White and Wood’s teammate Elijah Green (OF) would get on.

Painter’s Calvary Christian teammate Irving Carter (SP) earned third team honors.

The only person representing John Carroll Catholic out of Fort Pierce would be Jay Allen (OF).

White, Wood, and Green will play their first game as All-Americans when IMG Academy begins their Independent schedule on February 16 when they take on crosstown rival Lakewood Ranch in Bradenton.

Calvary Christian will also begin their season on February 15 when they played at Flanagan in Pembroke Pines as Painter and Carter start their senior seasons.

Allen will begin his final season with Carroll Catholic on February 11 at Central Point Christian Academy in Kissimmee.

With the season looming, we will see if these players are able to live up to such a remarkable honor ahead of the year.
