Ranking the Greatest Players in Sierra Canyon Basketball History

basketballAcross the past couple of seasons, few high school basketball programs across the country have garnered more attention on a national scale than the Sierra Canyon Trailblazers.

Based out of Chatsworth, California, Sierra Canyon is enjoying yet another impressive season with the Trailblazers sitting at 18-4 overall at the time of writing. Boasting a talented team, Sierra Canyon owns several impressive victories, one of the biggest of which was a 60-46 win over Georgia’s Grayson High School.

Sierra Canyon has not only been among the nation’s top basketball teams in recent seasons, but also one of the most talented. Sierra Canyon has produced some of the more well-known names in high school basketball today, including some of the highest-ranked prospects in the country and even relatives of former NBA greats.

Let’s take a look at, and rank, some of the greatest players to ever put on a Sierra Canyon basketball uniform.

30. Jimmy Oladokun, C/O 2023

Notable Accolades: San Diego signee

Jimmy Oladokun helped lead Sierra Canyon to a combined 23-12 overall record as a senior during the 2022-23 season.

The power forward went on to attend San Diego out of high school and is currently a sophomore at Rice after transferring.

29. Jeremiah Nyarko, C/O 2022

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect, San Diego signee

Jeremiah Nyarko was a three-star power forward in the 2022 Class who ranked as the nation’s No. 320 overall player. The three-star helped lead Sierra Canyon to a 26-6 record as a senior prior to attending San Diego.

He is currently at Stony Brook after transferring.

28. Noah Williams, C/O 2024

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect, Cal State Northridge signee

Noah Williams was a three-star power forward in Sierra Canyon’s 2024 Class, helping lead the Trailblazers to a 26-4 record as a senior.

Ranking as the nation’s No. 265 overall player in his class, Williams is currently a freshman at Cal State Northridge.

27. Shy Odom, C/O 2022

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect, Howard signee

Shy Odom was a three-star prospect for the 2021-22 Sierra Canyon basketball team that went 26-6 overall, and he ranked as the nation’s No. 257 overall player.

Odom went on to play collegiately at Howard for two seasons and is currently at Vermont.

26. Bryce James, C/O 2025

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect, Arizona commit

Bryce James is one-of-two sons of NBA star LeBron James to be included on this list, and he is currently a senior at Sierra Canyon. A three-star recruit, Bryce James is currently rated as the No. 257 overall player and the No. 47 shooting guard nationally, and he is committed to Arizona.

25. Bryce Cofield, C/O 2025

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect

Bryce Cofield is one of Sierra Canyon’s highest-ranked players in the 2025 Class, sitting at No. 186 overall nationally during his senior season. A three-star small forward, Cofield is currently not committed to a collegiate program.

24. Gavin Hightower, C/O 2025

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect, Iona commit

Gavin Hightower is currently Sierra Canyon’s highest-rated senior on the 2024-25 team, with the point guard ranking at No. 135 nationally. An Iona commit, Hightower is also ranked as the nation’s No. 16 point guard.

23. Zaire Wade, C/O 2021

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect

The son of NBA great Dwayne Wade, Zaire Wade was a three-star prospect out of Sierra Canyon who ranked as the nation’s No. 284 overall player.

Zaire Wade last played overseas professionally.

22. Harold Yu, C/O 2021

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect

Harold Yu, a 7-foot-3 center, helped lead Sierra Canyon to a 16-2 overall record as a senior in 2020-21. The center was rated as a three-star prospect and as the No. 208 player nationally.

He went on to play in China after high school.

21. Adam Seiko, C/O 2017

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect, San Diego State signee

Adam Seiko was a three-star shooting guard who ranked No. 354 nationally in the 2017 Class. He helped lead Sierra Canyon to a 27-4 record as a senior while averaging 10.4 points per game, 3.2 rebounds per game, and two assists per game.

The guard went on to spend five seasons collegiately at San Diego State.

20. Ramel Lloyd Jr., C/O 2022

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, Nebraska signee

Ramel Lloyd Jr. was a senior in 2021-22 for a Sierra Canyon basketball team that finished 26-6 overall. A four-star prospect, Lloyd ranked as the nation’s No. 111 overall player in his class.

He went on to sign to play collegiately for Nebraska before transferring to Long Beach State.

19. Devearl Ramsey, C/O 2016

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, Nevada signee

A four-star point guard in the 2016 Class, Devearl Ramsay led Sierra Canyon to a 26-6 record as a senior while averaging a combined 14 PPG, 3.8 RPG, 4.5 APG, and 2.3 steals per game.

The nation’s No. 127 overall player in the class, Ramsey went on to play in college at Nevada and at UC Santa Barbara.

18. Maximo Adams, C/O 2026

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, No. 6 player in California

Maximo Adams is one of the youngest names on this list, as the talented forward is currently in his junior season at Sierra Canyon. A four-star small forward, Adams ranks as the nation’s No. 63 overall player in the 2026 Class, and he is currently uncommitted.

17. Ashton Hardaway, C/O 2023

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, Memphis signee

The son of former NBA great Penny Hardaway, Ashton Hardaway helped lead Sierra Canyon to a 23-12 record as a senior. He was ranked as the nation’s No. 110 overall player and No. 23 power forward that cycle.

A four-star prospect, Ashton Hardaway originally began his collegiate career at Memphis and is currently a sophomore at Saint Mary’s after transferring.

16. Terren Frank, C/O 2020

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect, TCU signee

Terren Frank was a senior for the 2019-20 Sierra Canyon basketball team that went 31-4 overall. He averaged 11 PPG and seven RPG while ranking as the nation’s No. 179 overall player in the class.

Rated as a three-star power forward, Frank went on to sign with TCU and has since played at the college level for Vanderbilt, Idaho, and, now, Campbell.

15. Remy Martin, C/O 2017

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, Arizona State signee

Remy Martin ranked as a four-star point guard in the 2017 Class and as the No. 88 player in the nation after coming off a 2016-17 senior season in which he averaged 11.5 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 6.9 APG, and 2.1 SPG for a 27-4 Trailblazers team.

The former four-star went on to play multiple seasons collegiately at both Arizona State and Kansas.

14. Isaiah Elohim, C/O 2024

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, USC signee

Isaiah Elohim was the highest-ranked member of Sierra Canyon’s 2024 Class, averaging 12.8 PPG and 5.6 RPG as a senior for a Trailblazers team that went 26-4 overall. Rated as a four-star small forward, Elohim was the nation’s No. 51 player in the cycle.

He is currently a freshman at USC.

13. Kijani Wright, C/O 2022

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, USC signee

Kijani Wright helped lead Sierra Canyon to a 26-6 record as a senior in 2021-22, ranking as the No. 52 overall player and No. 5 power forward nationally.

The five-star prospect went on to spend two seasons collegiately at USC and is currently at Vanderbilt after transferring.

12. Duane Washington Jr., C/O 2018

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect, Ohio State signee

Duane Washington Jr. averaged 15.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 3.8 APG for a 27-4 Sierra Canyon in 2017-18 as a senior, ranking as the nation’s No. 165 overall prospect as a three-star combo guard.

Washington went on to play collegiately at Ohio State and last played in the NBA during the 2022-23 season for the Phoenix Suns after going undrafted in 2021.

He is the son of former professional basketball player Duane Washington Sr.

11. Justin Pippen, C/O 2024

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, Michigan signee

The son of former NBA great Scottie Pippen, combo guard Justin Pippen averaged 16.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, and 4.9 APG as a senior at Sierra Canyon in 2023-24, leading the Trailblazers to a 26-4 overall record. Justin Pippen, a four-star prospect, also ranked as the nation’s No. 107 overall player and No. 13 combo guard.

He is currently a freshman at Michigan.

10. Bronny James, C/O 2023

Notable Accolades: five-star prospect, USC signee, second-round pick in 2024 NBA draft

The oldest son of NBA player LeBron James, Bronny James helped lead Sierra Canyon to a 23-12 record as a senior, averaging 13.8 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 2.7 APG, and 1.8 SPG. A five-star combo guard out of high school, he ranked as the nation’s No. 22 overall player and No. 5 player at his position prior to spending a year collegiately at USC.

He is currently a member of the Los Angeles Lakers after being selected in the second round of the 2024 NBA draft.

9. Cody Riley, C/O 2017

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, UCLA signee

Cody Riley helped lead Sierra Canyon to a 27-4 overall record during the 2016-17 season as a senior, averaging 16.3 PPG and 8.3 RPG while ranking as the nation’s No. 45 overall player. 

A four-star power forward, Riley went on to play multiple seasons collegiately at UCLA.

8. Christian Koloko, C/O 2019

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect, Arizona signee, second-round pick in 2022 NBA draft

Christian Koloko was considered to be a three-star center in the 2019 Class and was naked as the No. 185 overall player nationally. As a senior, he helped lead Sierra Canyon to a 32-3 record.

Koloko went on to have a multi-year collegiate career at Arizona, where he was named the 2021-22 Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Year. He was selected in the second round of the 2022 NBA draft by the Toronto Raptors and is still in the league as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers.

7. Scotty Pippen Jr., C/O 2019

Notable Accolades: three-star prospect, Vanderbilt signee

The son of former NBA star Scottie Pippen Sr., Scotty Pippen Jr. was a three-star point guard in the 2019 Class who ranked as the No. 209 overall player nationally. He averaged 16.3 PPG, 3.6 RPG, and 4.6 APG during his senior basketball season for a 32-3 Sierra Canyon team. 

Pippen Jr. went on to have an accomplished college career at Vanderbilt. After going undrafted in the NBA, he is currently in the league with the Memphis Grizzlies.

6. KJ Martin, C/O 2019

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, second-round pick in 2020 NBA draft

KJ Martin, a four-star prospect, was a prominent name as a senior for a 2018-19 Trailblazers team that went 32-3 overall. 

Martin did not play collegiately prior to being selected in the second round of the 2020 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings. He is currently still in the league with the Philadelphia 76ers.

5. Cassius Stanley, C/O 2019

Notable Accolades: four-star prospect, Duke signee, second-round pick in 2020 NBA draft

Cassius Stanley was a highly-rated four-star recruit in the 2019 Class. He was ranked as the nation’s No. 37 overall prospect and No. 3 shooting guard in that cycle. As a senior, he averaged 17.7 PPG, 6.9 RPG, and 2.9 APG for the 2018-19 Sierra Canyon team that went 32-3. 

Stanley spent a season at Duke prior to coming off the board in the second round of the 2020 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers. He has not played in the league since 2022.

4. Amari Bailey, C/O 2022

Notable Accolades: five-star prospect, UCLA signee, second-round pick in 2023 NBA draft

Amari Bailey was one of the nation’s top recruits in the 2022 Class, averaging 18.5 PPG, 5.6 RPG, and 2.6 APG as a senior for a Trailblazers team that went 26-6 overall. A five-star prospect, Bailey ranked as the nation’s No. 9 overall player and No. 2 combo guard prior to playing a season collegiately at UCLA.

He was a second-round pick in the 2023 NBA draft by the Charlotte Hornets and is currently a free agent.

3. Ziaire Williams, C/O 2020

Notable Accolades: five-star prospect, Stanford signee, first-round pick in 2021 NBA draft

Ziaire Williams helped lead Sierra Canyon to a 31-4 overall record in 2019-20 as a senior, averaging 15 PPG, 7.9 RPG, and 3.6 APG. The five-star prospect was ranked as the No. 6 overall player and No. 2 small forward in that class.

Williams went on to play a season collegiately at Stanford prior to being selected in the first round of the 2021 NBA draft by the New Orleans Pelicans. He is currently still in the league with the Brooklyn Nets.

2. Brandon Boston Jr., C/O 2020

Notable Accolades: five-star prospect, Kentucky signee, second-round pick in 2021 NBA draft

A five-star prospect who ranked as the nation’s No. 5 player and top shooting guard, Brandon Boston Jr. averaged 19.7 PPG and seven RPG as a senior for a 2019-20 Sierra Canyon basketball team that went 31-4 overall, and he racked up multiple honors along the way. 

Boston went on to play a season collegiately with the Kentucky Wildcats prior to being selected in the second round of the 2021 NBA draft by the Memphis Grizzlies. He is currently still in the league with the New Orleans Pelicans.

1. Marvin Bagley III, C/O 2017

Notable Accolades: five-star prospect, No. 1 recruit, Duke signee, first-round pick in 2018 NBA draft

Headlining this list is former 2017 No. 1 overall recruit Marvin Bagley III, who averaged 24.9 PPG and 10.1 RPG as a junior for a Sierra Canyon basketball team that finished 27-4 overall back in 2016-17. 

Also reclassifying from the 2018 Class to the 2017 Class, Bagley spent a year collegiately at Duke, where he was named the 2017-18 ACC Player of the Year. He was selected with the No. 2 pick in the 2018 NBA draft by the Sacramento Kings and is still in the league as a member of the Washington Wizards.
