Here are our top performers from recent action in the 2026 Georgia high school boys basketball region tournaments.
North Cobb Christian point guard Isaiah Chandler, a junior, scored 18 points, which included his 1,000th career point, while leading the Eagles to the region championship in their 89-46 win over North Murray.
Starr’s Mill point guard Scott Moreman, a junior, scored 22 points in consecutive games last week in their region tournament. He also grabbed 21 rebounds for a massive double-double to lead the Panthers to a 64-54 win over Mundy’s Mill in their region tournament game.
Pace Academy forward Hayden Clay, a senior, picked up a double-double in leading the Knights to their 51-48 region championship win over Mays on Feb. 20. Clay scored 10 points, pulled down 13 rebounds, and added four assists.
Cross Creek small forward Frashad Tisby, a junior, scored 16 points, including 6 points in the final two minutes, to lead the Razorbacks to a 53-51 win over Baldwin to win the Region 4-3A championship.
Lambert forward Ryder Grinnell, a senior, pulled down 14 rebounds along with 3 points to help his Longhorns secure their second consecutive Region 6-6A championship with their win over North Atlanta on Feb. 20.
Bowdon guard Zayland Allen, a sophomore, scored 26 points while grabbing 10 rebounds and dishing four assists to lead the Red Devils in their Region 7-1A-Division II championship game against Elite Scholars Academy on Feb. 20.
Commerce point guard Essien Lockleer, a junior, scored 18 points, grabbed four rebounds, and had four assists in the Tigers’ region championship game against Rabun County.
South Forsyth guard Payne Smith, a senior, led the Eagles with 19 points, including the game-winner, to give South Forsyth a 57-56 victory over Forsyth Central in the Region 6-6A consolation game.
Buford’s Dillon Nixon and Dream Rashad each scored 17 points to lead the scoring for the Wolves in capturing the Region 8-6A championship in their 65-63 win over Central Gwinnett on Feb. 20.
Lassiter guard Preston Liston, a junior, led the Trojans to their first region championship since 1991 with a 23-point performance, sinking five 3-pointers in their 48-39 win over Woodstock.
