National Top-15 Baseball Matchup Ends in Shutout

We didn’t have to wait long to see a matchup between national top-15 baseball powerhouse programs in Georgia. No. 4 Buford hosted No. 15 Parkview to open the 2021 high school baseball season. 

Loaded with talent, Buford aimed to prove their worth against a 2019 state champion Parkview team and came through, shutting out the Panthers 3-0. 

Buford scored all 3 runs on a bases-clearing double with two outs in the fifth inning. It took the combined pitching efforts of Dylan Lesko, Jackson Gaspard, and Riley Stanford to subdue a powerful Parkview lineup and preserve the 3-run lead in later innings. 

The Panthers are now 1-2, while Buford remains perfect with three wins and no losses.
