Mountain View’s Andrew Brech Among Top Performers in Week 5 of 2026 Georgia High School Baseball Season

Here are our top 10 performers from Week 5 of the 2026 Georgia high school baseball season.

Mountain View pitcher and third baseman Andrew Brech led his team at the plate and on the mound last week, going 6-for-12 with a single, two doubles, and three home runs for seven RBIs in a win over Dacula. He also pitched five innings, striking out 10 batters while allowing just one hit.

Tift County’s Brodie Law went 3-for-4 in a doubleheader, including two singles, a double, two stolen bases, and two runs scored. For the week, he batted .571 with an on-base percentage of .667.

Metter pitcher Caelan Vernon, a junior, pitched a complete game no-hitter with nine strikeouts and one walk against Portal.

Lowndes outfielder Tyler Parker went 7-for-10 at the plate in a doubleheader against Colquitt County, including a two-out home run to help the Vikings sweep the Packers.

Lowndes pitcher Easton Blanton pitched 6.2 innings against Colquitt County, striking out seven and walking no batters while allowing just two runs in the Vikings’ win.

Valdosta pitcher Brooks Carter pitched another gem with a complete game win over Camden County, allowing no earned runs.

Jackson pitcher Evan Novotny pitched six innings against Crisp County, allowing three hits, two runs – none earned – and one walk, and striking out 15 batters.

Thomson pitcher Charlie Ducey, a senior, pitched 8 ⅔ innings and struck out nine batters while allowing only one hit and no earned runs in the Bulldogs’ win over Butler.

Pataula Charter junior Jud Marshall has led his team to a 9-3 overall record. Last week he batted .667 with four hits and two RBIs while also pitching five innings, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out five batters. He carries a 1.40 ERA.

Crisp County pitcher Michael Cunningham pitched five innings against Monroe, shutting out the Monroe hitters while allowing one hit, three walks, and striking out 11 batters in the Cougars’ 14-0 win.
