Monroe’s KJ Acree Among Top Performers in Georgia High School Girls Basketball Region Tournaments

Here are our top performers from recent action in the 2026 Georgia high school girls basketball region tournaments.

Monroe senior KJ Acree scored her 2,500th career point and dished out her 500th career assist as part of a big night leading the Lady Golden Tornadoes to the Region 1-3A championship with 29 points, 23 rebounds, and six assists in their win over Westover.

Sequoyah point guard Ella Casing, a junior, had 14 points, four rebounds, and one steal to lead her team to a 70-46 win over River Ridge in the Region 6-5A championship game.

Pickens guard Ellison Steinhauer scored 22 points to lead the Dragonettes to a 51-48 upset win over Greater Atlanta Christian to win the GHSA Class 3A region tournament on Feb. 20.

Lowndes power forward Laila Foster and guard Kayla Jackson each had back-to-back big nights against Tift County in the semifinals and against Valdosta in the Region 1-6A championship game. Foster scored 19 points and had 10 rebounds, and Jackson scored 16 points with eight rebounds against Valdosta to lead the Vikettes to their fifth straight region title.

Morgan County point guard Madison Holcomb, a junior, headed a balanced offensive attack by leading her team in scoring with 8 points as the Lady Bulldogs defeated Westside 36-34 to win the Region 2-2A tournament for the second straight season.

Dalton standout point guard Bri Camp, a junior, scored 47 points in the Lady Catamounts’ 68-66 overtime win against Cartersville in the region championship game. Camp scored her 2,000th career point earlier this season for Dalton.

Buford shooting guard Lydia Ledford scored 17 points to lead the Lady Wolves to a 48-38 victory over Collins Hill to win the Region 8-6A championship.

Brookwood junior Skylar Schroder, the Region 7-6A Defensive Player of the Year, had six steals to help her team hold North Gwinnett to 32 points and win the region championship 54-32.
