Knight, Klees Headline Florida High School Week 5 Performances

Week 5 of the 2023 Florida high school season featured the “Game of the Year” and plenty of noteworthy individual performances from that and other contests. Here’s a look back at the best showings.

QB Luke Knight (Wiregrass Ranch)

Knight enjoyed one of the biggest Florida high school Week 5 performances in Wiregrass Ranch’s 57-33 win over Harmony, completing 27-of-37 passes for 419 yards and 8 touchdowns, while also rushing for 10 yards on a pair of attempts.

QB Haden Klees (Wakulla)

Klees completed 26-of-40 passes for 347 yards and 5 touchdowns, while also rushing for 14 yards on 2 attempts, in Wakulla’s 45-21 win over Mosley.

QB Cedrick Bailey (Chaminade-Madonna)

Bailey completed 28-of-41 passes for 321 yards and 4 touchdowns in the Lions’ 31-28 win over Miami Central. The three-star NC State commit also rushed for 39 yards on 4 attempts.

QB Ennio Yapoor (Norland)

Yapoor completed 9-of-11 passes for 197 yards and 3 touchdowns in Norland’s 57-12 win over American. The junior also rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown on 2 carries.

QB Jeff Jones (St. Petersburg)

Jones completed 4-of-13 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown in St. Petersburg’s 42-7 win over Dunedin. The junior especially stood out on the ground, rushing for 120 yards and 3 touchdowns on 11 tries.

QB Nathan Tidwell (Seven Rivers Christian)

Tidwell completed 6-of-9 passes for 52 yards and a touchdown in the Warriors’ 20-13 win over Cornerstone Charter Academy. The senior also rushed for 139 yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 attempts.

WR Bryson Rouillier (Gulf Breeze)

The senior had 8 receptions for 148 yards and 2 touchdowns in Gulf Breeze’s 35-0 shutout win over Pensacola.

WR Maddox Spencer (Nease)

Spencer had 9 receptions for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns in Nease’s 27-14 win over Orange Park.

DL Michael McClenton (Ocoee)

McClenton compiled 17 tackles, 3 TFL, and a sack in Ocoee’s 54-18 win over Freedom.

LB Bo Kenney (Horizon)

Kenney had 15 tackles, 1 TFL, 1 QB hurry, 1 FF, and 1 FR in Horizon’s 7-0 loss against New Smyrna Beach.

WR Jeremiah Smith (Chaminade-Madonna)

Smith had 9 receptions for 101 yards and 2 touchdowns in Chaminade-Madonna’s 31-28 win over Miami Central.
