We make our predictions for who will make it to the Elite Eight in GHSA Class 1A-Public.
Could Irwin County go for the three-peat in 2021? During last year’s playoffs, the Indians defeated Commerce on the road in the quarterfinals en route to back-to-back state titles. They could possibly face the Tigers once again this year as the second-ranked team in Region 2.
While the official playoff brackets for 2021 have not been released, it isn’t unlikely that Irwin could find themselves in a familiar position in this year’s postseason play.
Will history repeat itself, or can another team rise up to the challenge and be crowned the new 1A-Public champion in 2021?
