Warriors Are Young But Promising

Last season Frank Andrea and the Eagle’s View Warriors went through a rebuilding year going 1-9. But the future is looking extremely promising after a lot of good players are returning for next season. Another positive was the spring game win versus Jackson on a last second touchdown by two way star Austin Mobley. Mobley also had a great spring game on defense with three sacks at defensive end. Andrea explains that they sent Mobley to speed school this offseason and his 40 time has dropped from a 5.3 to a 4.7.

Another promising star returning is running back/defensive back K.J. Joyner. Joyner had a big spring game as well with two touchdowns and one interception. The 4.5 second speedster has looks from division one schools this year mostly for defensive back.

Some strengths for the Warriors are their defense. With new secondary coach and former Louisville player Craig James. Their defensive line is also a strong suit with Mobley on one side at 6’6” and Thari Harris at 6’3” on the other side.

The struggle, Andrea explains, is his team’s lack of experience. Coaching a school with around 130 kids’ total means 8th graders are able to play. He had an 8th grader start in the spring game at quarterback.
