Cooper, Kromah Dazzle Offensively in Georgia High School Week 7 Action

Offense

Worth County quarterback Chip Cooper dazzled in the Rams’ Georgia high school Week 7 win over Dodge County, completing 24-of-37 passes for 408 yards and 6 TDs and rushing 18 times for 96 yards and a TD.

Lee County running back Ousmane Kromah also had a big night in Georgia high school Week 7 action. He led his Trojans to victory with 275 yards rushing and 5 rushing TDs of 12, 76, 71,41, and 5 yards.

North Gwinnett quarterback Ryan Hall rushed for 3 touchdowns and threw for 2 more in the Bulldogs’ 67-41 win over Meadowcreek.

Cook QB Drew Folsom scored both of the Hornets TDs while passing for 56 yards rushing for 44 yards to lead Cook to a 13-7 win over Sumter.

Brunswick wide receiver Terry Mitchell had 5 receptions for 143 yards and 4 TDs to lead the Pirates to a big win over Grovetown.

Thomas County Central quarterback Sam Brown finished his night with 15-of-19 passing for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Dooly County RB Lorenzo “Tay Tay” Clayton had 4 rushing touchdowns this week, giving him 10 TDs in his last three games.

Thomas County Central RB Ricky Fulton had 22 carries for 188 yards and 3 TDs in the Jackets’ win over Veterans.

Worth County wide receiver D’ontae Fulton had 5 receptions for 150 yards and 3 TDs in the Rams’ win over Dodge.

Lee County sophomore QB Weston Bryan made his first career start for and led the Trojans to victory, completing 12-of-17 passes for 169 yards and a touchdown. He also rushed 5 times for 42 yards.

Cook RB Jatorian “Tay” Kennedy rushed 25 times for 100 yards. It was his third straight game of 100+ yards rushing.

Defense

Lanier County senior LB/RB Jamir Glenn had 21 total tackles (13 solo/8 assists). He also stood out on offense with 15 yards on 2 carries, both going for TDs.

Spalding High DB Ronald Moore had a 40-yard interception return for a touchdown to lead the Jaguars to a 32-0 win over crosstown rival Griffin.

Lee County Devin Collier had 16 tackles with 2 TFL, plus 3 carries for 33 yards and a TD.

Cook junior defensive back JaMarcus McCrae had 10 tackles, 2 PBU, and an interception.

Norcross DB Devin Hunter returned an interception for a TD in the Blue Devils’ shutout win over Duluth.

Jeremiah Tillman led Berrien High’s defensive effort with 8 tackles and an interception return for a touchdown, and he added another TD on a blocked punt and scoop-and-score.

Special Teams

Lanier County senior PK/P Daniel Cruz averaged 44 yards per punt on 3 punts, two of which he put inside the 20-yard line. He also had a pooch kick that was recovered by the Lanier County kickoff team.

Lee County’s Braxton Honer had 2 kickoff returns for an average of 34.5 yards per return. His game-opening return jump-started the Trojans offense in the 50-21 win over Houston County.

Adairsville kicker Cooper Saunders was 7-for-7 on PATs in his team’s 49-7 win over LaFayette.

North Gwinnett’s Corey Tornese blocked a punt and scooped it up for a touchdown in the Bulldogs’ 42-0 win.

Carrollton’s Takare Lipscomb had a 92-yard kick return for a TD in the Trojans’ win.

Cook freshman punter Brooks Moore had 4 punts for a 38-yard average with a long punt of 76 yards.

North Gwinnett’s Keenan Holmes had a kick return for a TD in his team’s win over Meadowcreek.

Berrien High’s Josiah Davis had kick returns of 79 and 84 yards, both for touchdowns.
