Cook Pitcher Case Lowery Among Top Performers in 2026 Georgia High School Baseball Playoffs

Here are our top 10 performers from the 2026 Georgia high school baseball playoffs.

Cook pitcher Case Lowery, a junior, pitched a complete-game shutout against Redan last week in the driving rain to clinch their Elite Eight series 2-0 and send Cook to the GHSA Class 2A semifinals against region foe Pierce County.

Tiftarea Academy pitcher and catcher Winston Lamb, a senior, helped his Panthers on the mound and behind the plate in consecutive games as Tiftarea swept St. Andrews in the first round of the GIAA Class 3A playoffs. He pitched five innings in Game 1, then caught the final two innings of that game, as well as all seven innings of Game 2.

Tiftarea Academy pitcher and shortstop Jackson Gray, a senior, batted .500 in the series against St. Andrews with a .600 on-base percentage and closed out the series with a save in Game 2 of the first-round series.

Lanier County shortstop Stone Carey, a senior, had two hits, including a home run, to help lift the Bulldogs to a 4-2 win over Wilcox County in Game 1 of their GHSA Class 1A-Division II Elite Eight matchup.

Lanier County pitcher Grant Gano, a senior, pitched a complete Game 1 against Wilcox County in their Elite Eight playoff series. Gano allowed just two runs on six hits, walked three, and struck out 13 Wilcox hitters to pace Lanier County to a 4-2 victory.

Jefferson pitcher Jackson Beasley, a sophomore, has come up big for the Dragons this postseason, including his second-round performance against Harlem, in which he allowed only one run on three hits while striking out eight batters in Jefferson’s 5-2 win.

Lanier County pitcher Alex Contreras, a junior, threw a complete Game 2 against Wilcox County, allowing just two runs, one of which was earned, on five hits, along with seven strikeouts and two walks to guide the Bulldogs to a second straight 4-2 victory over Wilcox County.

Franklin County shortstop Mason Griffin went 3-for-5 at the plate in last week’s playoff series against Thomson. His hits included a home run and two doubles, with seven RBIs, leading his team to a series sweep.

Cook senior MJ Tippins has been a force at the plate and on the mound for the Hornets in the playoffs. He had the game-winning hit against Columbus last week, capping a 9-8 come-from-behind win over the Blue Devils.

Kell pitcher Dominic Consolino, a sophomore, threw a one-hit shutout in a near no-hitter against East Forsyth in Game 1 of their best-of-three series in the GHSA Class 4A playoffs. The Longhorns won 10-0 on the mercy rule. Kell then topped the Broncos 2-1 in Game 2 of the series.
