Here are our top 10 performers from recent action in the 2026 Georgia high school girls basketball season.
Marietta point guard Leah DeWitt, a sophomore, had a big night as did her Marietta team in their 50-48 upset win over top-ranked North Paulding earlier this past week. DeWitt scored 24 points in the win.
Bacon County center Makayla Thomas had a double-double in back-to-back wins for her Red Raiders recently. In their 58-28 win over Berrien County, Thomas had 16 points, 15 rebounds, and eight blocks. Then, in their 58-40 win over Jeff Davis, Thomas had 23 points, 15 rebounds, and five blocked shots.
Buford shooting guard Lydia Ledford, a senior and the Lady Wolves’ floor leader, scored 11 points in Buford’s 67-29 win over Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Friday night.
Cartersville guard Zoe McCurry, a sophomore, led her team in scoring with 26 points in the Lady Hurricanes’ 58-41 win over Hiram Friday night. She also had eight rebounds and two steals in the game.
Monroe standout guard Kie’Aundria Acree led her team in scoring with 38 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists in Lady Tornadoes’ 67-49 win over Westover. She also scored 29 points with 10 rebounds and six assists in a 71-43 victory over Bainbridge.
Lanier Christian Academy guard Adelyn Gough, a junior, had a monster performance in her team’s game against Bethlehem Christian Friday night. Gough scored 24 points, pulled down eight rebounds, had three blocks, two steals, and added one assist in the game.
Westover guard Sydney Donaldson scored 30 points and grabbed 21 rebounds against Monroe last Tuesday, then had a 22-point night with six rebounds against Dougherty Friday night in the Lady Patriots’ 44-38 win.
Greater Atlanta Christian’s Jermani “The Queen” Govan led her Lady Spartans with 15 points and 10 rebounds in their 59-38 region win over Chestatee Friday night.
East Laurens freshman Garyunna Mitchell scored 18 points and pulled down 17 rebounds in the Lady Falcons’ win over cross-town rival Dublin last week.
Lee County point guard Camya Hutcherson, a junior, scored 23 points in the Lady Trojans’ 61-22 win over Houston County. In the process, she reached a milestone of 1,000 career points at Lee County.
