NFL Players Drafted from Georgia High Schools
In this year’s NFL Draft, the state of Georgia produced the third-most draftees, just trailing powerhouses Texas and Florida. Jacksonville and Cincinnati jumped on these players, drafting three each who formerly played high school football in the Peach State. The Jaguars, as expected, opened their selections by choosing Trevor Lawrence, who set several state records during his time at Cartersville. Other notable star players drafted in the later rounds include WR Jalen Camp, CB Tay Gowan and S Richard LeCounte III. Six drafted players stayed in-state for college, attending either the University of Georgia or Georgia Tech.
