Phil Jones gives his score predictions for the top six games being played in Week 11 of the 2025 Georgia high school football season.
Colquitt County vs. Camden County
Region 1-6A resumes the season after a bye week, and just about every game will have some effect on the postseason seeds, which, if you take a look at the potential playoff matchups that await the four teams that make the playoffs, means everything.
The winner of the region gets the No. 1 seed and will have a realistic chance to advance through the bracket.
Colquitt County needs to win this game and their final game at Richmond Hill and get some help from Lowndes’ last two opponents to get the top seed. But Valdosta and Richmond Hill are also still alive and hoping they can get the No. 1 seed.
None of that matters to the two teams in this one.
Colquitt County welcomes back Jae Lamar to the team this week, and he’ll only make the team better as they prepare for their playoff run, no matter where they end up.
Phil’s Pick: Colquitt County 35, Camden County 28
Richmond Hill vs. Lowndes
Lowndes can move a step closer to clinching the top seed in Region 1-6A, but a Wildcat win can pull them into a tie for the region’s top spot.
After playing their first seven games at home, the Vikings are on the road for the final stretch of the regular season. They passed the first test two weeks ago at Camden County, winning in a driving rainstorm to expand their record to 7-0 overall and 3-0 in region play.
This one is huge. Richmond Hill wants to prove their 41-point loss at Valdosta in their last game two weeks ago was but a blip on an otherwise successful season. This is their chance at redemption.
Phil’s Pick: Lowndes 35, Richmond Hill 21
Norcross vs. North Gwinnett
The North Gwinnett Bulldogs of head coach Eric Godfree are seeking their eighth straight win of the season and a region-clinching victory in Region 7-6A. The Bulldogs are coming off an impressive win last week over Meadowcreek to improve to 5-0 in region play.
Norcross is tight on their heels, fresh off a 35-19 win last week over Berkmar. The Blue Devils have the same hope for that region title, and the winner of this game likely takes the upper hand in their region race for the No. 1 seed.
Both teams want to pick up momentum as they hope to make a run through the Class 6A playoffs.
Phil’s Pick: North Gwinnett 30, Norcross 24
Thomas County Central vs. Houston County
This will be one you don’t want to miss, whether you are a fan of either team or not. This is going to be, in my opinion, the game of the year so far in the state.
Houston County is enjoying its finest season in school history and coming off a big win over Coffee last week.
Thomas County Central is coming off a region win over Northside (Warner Robins) last week, and this matchup with the Bears will be the Yellow Jackets’ toughest challenge of the season since their Region 2-5A opener against Lee County.
These two teams are pretty even. Will the home field advantage give TCC the edge? This one is tough. I’ll flip a coin.
Phil’s Pick: Houston County 24, Thomas County Central 21
Gainesville vs. Roswell
It’s the regular season finale for the home team Gainesville Red Elephants, who won their biggest game in two years two weeks ago against Milton. They won last week over Chattahoochee for another Region 7-5A victory.
Roswell also won last week over an improved Lanier team and will now end the season with region matches at Gainesville and back at home against the visiting Milton Eagles.
Roswell fans don’t have to worry about their team overlooking Gainesville, though. These two teams played one of the most exciting games of the season last year in Class 5A, as Roswell defeated the visiting Red Elephants 48-45.
Will we have another shootout in this one?
Phil’s Pick: Roswell 38, Gainesville 35
Perry vs. Benedictine
This was our ITG Next Game of the Week last year, as we livestreamed the battle of these two programs at the beautiful Memorial Stadium in Savannah, Georgia. In that 2024 contest, Perry outlasted a furious comeback attempt by the home team Benedictine Cadets of head coach Danny Britt to win the game 31-27 and clinch the Region 1-4A title. Benedictine was without starting QB Stephen Cannon, who had been injured a week earlier against Ware County. The Texas Tech commit is back and playing well.
This time, Benedictine will have the opportunity to take the region championship with a win over the Panthers, who lost last week at Ware County, while Benedictine defeated Wayne County.
It’s going to be a good one in the Panther Pit as Perry head coach Kevin Smith’s team tries to get back in the win column.
Phil’s Pick: Benedictine 28, Perry 24
That’s our 2025 Georgia high school football season predictions for Week 11.
