The 2023 Florida high school baseball season has come to a close, which means this is the final update of our Top 25 rankings. We preface that list with the seven teams that won a state championship across the past two weeks.

After last week’s playoff action, we offer the second-to-last update to our 2023 Florida high school baseball Top 25 rankings. The latest rankings include nine new teams: Lakeland Christian (10), North Marion (17), American Heritage (18), Plant (20), Sebring (21), Spruce Creek (22), Chipley (23), Lafayette (24), and Bishop Kenny (25). Three state title games are set to be played this week in Classes 5A-7A.

Several more teams saw significant rises in this week’s update, including Park Vista, Miami Columbus, and Canterbury. Following this week’s action, will we see a similar amount of movement seven days from now?

Ahead of this week’s start to the 2023 Florida high school baseball state playoffs, here is the latest update of our Top 25 rankings. It features three new teams in the mix – Windermere, Merritt Island, and Park Vista. Of those three, Class 7A’s Park Vista makes its return to the Top 25 at No. 25 after having been ranked earlier in the year, while Windermere, which is also from 7A, and 4A’s Merritt Island are newcomers to the list. How will these rankings look seven days from now, after both the regional quarterfinal and semifinal rounds?

The 2023 Florida high school baseball regular season has come to a close, which means the attention now fully shifts toward this week’s district playoffs. So, ahead of this week’s action, let’s update our Top 25 for the final time pre-playoffs. These latest 2023 Florida high school baseball rankings feature the debut of Miami Columbus and Fernandina Beach at Nos. 24 and 25, respectively. Miami Columbus (20-4) becomes the third Class 7A team to be ranked at the moment, with the Explorers coming off a week that included a 4-3 win over South Dade. Fernandina Beach (20-3) makes it eight 3A teams to be ranked, the most of any classification. The Pirates’ week included a 9-0 win over Stanton.

While no new teams appear, the latest edition of our 2023 Florida high school baseball rankings sees one of its most action-packed updates of the season. The biggest risers of the week come in the Nos. 15-16 spots, where Island Coast and South Walton land, five spots up from their previous rankings. Trinity Christian-Jacksonville and Providence also saw notable moves up; a few teams jumped within the Top 10, including Jesuit, North Broward Prep, Pace, and Sickles; and St. Johns Country Day moved up a spot to No. 10.

The latest update of our 2023 Florida high school baseball rankings features a pair of teams making their Top 25 debuts. Lake Mary and North Marion enter the list at the Nos. 24 and 25 spots, respectively.

Lake Mary (17-1) has been one of Class 7A’s most dominant teams so far this season and is coming off a week that included wins over Winter Springs and Deltona. North Marion (17-4) becomes the second Class 4A team to be ranked after a week that brought victories over Forest, West Port, and Dunnellon.

The latest update of our 2023 Florida high school baseball rankings features Trinity Christian-Jacksonville entering the Top 25 for the first time this season. Sitting at 14-3 overall, the No. 13 Conquerors are coming off an impressive 3-0 week with victories over Creekside, Viera, and Nease. Jesuit was also a notable takeaway in this week’s update by rising a spot to No. 5. Sickles was the biggest mover of the week, jumping four spots into the Top 10 at No. 10.

The latest update of our 2023 Florida high school baseball Top 25 rankings sees one new team, Dunedin, enter in the No. 25 spot. Holding a 13-1 record, the Falcons are coming off a 3-0 week that was headlined by arguably the state’s most notable result, a 1-0 win over previously No. 3-ranked Jesuit on March 30. The Falcons also picked up a 6-5 win over River Ridge and a 10-0 shutout over Clearwater since our previous rankings update. Elsewhere, Montverde Academy moved into the top five at No. 3, and Pace, Sickles, and Lake Nona each climbed three spots.

The latest update of our 2023 Florida high school baseball Top 25 rankings is headlined by two new teams in the mix at the Nos. 24-25 spots – The First Academy and Park Vista. The First Academy sits at 13-1 overall and is coming off a week that was headlined by a 4-3 win over Lake Nona, along with victories over University and Lake Highland Prep. Park Vista (12-1) recorded wins over Forest Hill, West Broward, and Jupiter in the past week. Elsewhere, Oakleaf and Melbourne were among the biggest movers, and the top five has a new team for the first time this season as Montverde Academy jumps a spot to No. 5.

After releasing the initial Top 25 a week ago, here is the first update of our 2023 Florida high school baseball rankings, one that sees a few noteworthy takeaways despite no new teams entering the mix.

With almost all of the Top 10 staying put from last week, a few teams do rise multiple spots directly behind that group, with South Walton, Canterbury, and Clay, who defeated Oakleaf by a final score of 6-2 last Tuesday night, each rising five places. Providence jumps one spot into the Top 10, while Class 7A’s Lake Nona is also a significant riser, jumping three spots up to No. 18.

With the 2023 Florida high school baseball season now fully underway, we here at ITG Next are releasing our Top 25 rankings for Classes 1A-7A, which will be updated weekly throughout the remainder of the spring.

In a state loaded with talented teams, two-time defending Class 7A state champion Stoneman Douglas sits in the top spot, followed closely by IMG Academy, Jesuit, Calvary Christian-Clearwater, and North Broward Prep to round out the top five. Class 6A has the most ranked teams of any classification, with eight squads scattered throughout the Top 25.
