Alabama High School Boys Basketball Top 25: Classes 1A, 2A, 3A, 4A, 5A, 6A, 7A

The latest update of our 2023 Alabama high school boys basketball rankings for Classes 1A-7A is headlined by the rise of Hoover into the top five, as well as the addition of two new teams into the mix – Jefferson Davis and Ramsay. Jefferson Davis becomes the latest 7A team to enter the Top 25, coming in at No. 21 after a strong two weeks that included a pair of wins over another ranked team, Enterprise. Class 5A’s Ramsay, also coming off a strong last two weeks, enters the week at No. 23. That stretch included a win over a ranked team, Scottsboro, as well as a defeat of Huffman, one of many teams sitting just outside the rankings.

Beginning with this week’s update, are combining our two Top-25 power rankings for 2023 Alabama high school boys basketball into one that features all classes from 1A-7A. As with previous rankings this season, updates will come every other week and will alternate between boys and girls.

Holding the No. 1 spot in these 2023 Alabama high school boys basketball rankings is Class 6A’s Pinson Valley, with Tuscaloosa County, Spain Park, Vestavia Hills, and Cullman rounding out a tightly packed top five. Class 7A places the most teams in the Top 25 at 14, with 6A the next closest at five.
