Winning is Ageless

Following Thursday’s semi-final defeat against Johanna Konta, Venus Williams will be the oldest Wimbledon finalist since 1994.

In the semi-final round of the Wimbledon, Williams came out victorious against Britain’s best player and first semi-finalist 6-4, 6-2 in an hour and a quarter. Williams proved her experience and achievement would be what set her apart from her opponent when the match was close.

At 37, Williams will be the oldest Wimbledon contender since Martina Navratilova in 1994. The American tennis star is a five-time Wimbledon champion and this will be her first Wimbledon finals since 2009.

Williams’ victory proved that not only is age just a number, it can be an asset.
