Where Are the Top 2023 Football Recruits From Florida Committed?

While a majority of the top 2023 football recruits from Florida high schools are still uncommitted, several players ranked among the Top 50 overall in the state for the Class of 2023 are. Here are the top 2023 football recruits from Florida and where they’re currently committed to play college ball. (Rankings courtesy of the 247Sports Composite)

 

Keon Keeley – Notre Dame

One of Florida high school football’s top pass rushers, as well as a five-star prospect and top 10 player nationally, Keon Keeley has been committed to Notre Dame since June of 2021 where he is the headliner for the nation’s current top class. The nation’s top rated edge rusher collected an impressive 16.5 sacks last season for Berkeley Prep and is likely set to post similar numbers in 2022 with a Buccaneers team that is likely to be one of the top teams in Class 3A once again.

 

Raylen Wilson – Michigan

One of the state’s top linebackers, Raylen Wilson has been committed to Michigan since December of 2021 where the four-star is also the headliner of the Wolverines current No. 11 ranked class nationally. A top 100 player, Wilson is coming off a phenomenal 2021 season at Lincoln in which the Michigan commit added an impressive 139 total tackles and five sacks.

 

Pearce Spurlin – Georgia

One of the leading receivers in Florida during the 2021 season, Pearce Spurlin is a long-time Georgia commit and has been committed to the Bulldogs since September of 2020. A four-star recruit and top 100 national player, Spurlin accounted for a total of 1,404 yards and 20 touchdowns for South Walton last year and enters the 2022 season as one of the nation’s top tight ends. 

 

Nathaniel Joseph – Clemson

A top 100 player and one of the top overall wide receivers in Florida, Nathaniel Joseph has been committed to Clemson since September of 2021. The Edison standout is coming off a 2021 season in which the four-star caught 33 total passes for 632 yards and five touchdowns in nine games.

 

Raymond Cottrell – Georgia

The second wide receiver on this list, Raymond Cottrell is also the second Georgia commit on the list as the four-star has been committed to the Bulldogs since November of 2021. A former Florida commit, Cottrell accounted for 1,428 total yards and 17 touchdowns for Milton last season, and enters the 2022 season as one of the state’s most versatile playmakers. 

 

Elliot Washington – Alabama

One of the state’s top safeties, Elliot Washington has been committed to the Crimson Tide since January of 2022. A four-star recruit, Washington is coming off an impressive 2021 junior season in which he collected 58 tackles and four interceptions for 8A state champion Venice. 

 

Lamont Green Jr. – Florida State

Another long time commit, Lamont Green Jr. has been committed to Florida State since February. A standout edge rusher at Gulliver Prep, the four-star is one of the top pass rushers in the state of Florida and is coming off a season in which he collected 54 tackles and four sacks as a junior. 

 

Cedrick Hawkins – Ohio State

A four-star recruit, Cedrick Hawkins has been committed to the Buckeyes since January. Coming off a phenomenal 2021 season in which he collected 117 tackles and four interceptions for one of the top 4A teams in Florida (Cocoa), Hawkins is also rated among the top safeties in the state.
