Following are our ITG Next Georgia Week 3 Top Performers – those Georgia high school standouts who made significant contributions to their teams on offense, defense and/or special teams.
Tip Top Performer
Warner Robins quarterback Judd Anderson headlines our list of Georgia High School Week 3 standouts. After joining the team just days before the Demons’ game against county rival Northside, Anderson entered the game at the start of the second half and completed 14-of-22 passes for 175 yards and 2 TDs to rally Warner Robins to a come-from-behind win.
Offense
Quarterback Neko Fann became Colquitt County’s all-time touchdown passing leader with 5 TDs against Tift County in the Pack’s 40-2 win. Fann now has 72 TD passes, overtaking Chase Parrish, who held the previous Colquitt record with 70.
Prince Avenue Christian QB Aaron Philo was 24-for-31 for 304 yards and 5 TDs, and he rushed for a touchdown as the Wolverines claimed a big 52-27 victory over Athens Academy.
Houston County QB AJ Hill completed 11-of-12 passes for 170 yards and 4 TDs in HoCo’s win over West Laurens.
Roswell QB KJ Smith finished completed 12-of-15 pass attempts for 215 yards and 4 TDs in the Hornets’ win.
Athletes
Bainbridge ATH Antavious Murphy was one of four players with the versatile ATH designation who made our list of Georgia High School Week 3 standouts. He had 221 all-purpose yards, including 94 receiving yards and 2 TDs, 1 rush for 34 yards, and 5 kick returns for 93 yards.
Bainbridge ATH Keenan Phillips had 203 all-purpose yards: 25 rushes for 139 yards, 2 receptions for 31 yards, and 1 kick return for 37 yards.
Camden ATH Ja’Marley Riddle had 257 all-purpose yards, including 8 rushes for 50 yds and 2 TDs, 3 receptions for 104 yds and 1 TD, and 2 punt returns for 35 yards to lead Camden over Glynn Academy.
Lee County ATH Devin Collier had a 90-yard return for a TD on the game’s opening kickoff against Lithia Springs, plus 2 punt returns for 64 total yards, and 6 tackles and a sack on defense.
Defense
Collins Hill DB Jayvon Hatch had a 46-yard interception return for a TD to help his team to win over Brookwood.
Benedictine LB Bryce Baker came up with a late game-saving INT in the endzone to preserve the Cadets’ win over Westminster.
Special Teams
Stephens County K Luke Waters was successful on FG attempts from 38 and 31 yards. He also was 4-for-4 on PATs.
Colquitt County K Brett Fitzgerald was successful on 2-of-2 FG attempts, a 48-yarder and a 21-yarder, and he converted 4-of-5 PATs, with the lone miss the result of a blocked kick.
