Valdosta Running Back Marquis Fennell Among Top Performers in Week 7 of 2025 Georgia High School Football Season

Here are our top 10 performers from Week 7 of the 2025 Georgia high school football season.

Top Overall Performance

Richmond Hill athlete Elias Grant contributed to the Wildcats’ win over Tift County in all three areas of offense, defense, and special teams. The junior had six receptions for 73 yards and one TD, one interception returned for 27 yards, and 57 yards on special teams as a returner. He ended the night with 157 all-purpose yards.

Top Offensive Performances

Valdosta running backs Marquis Fennell and Deron Foster were among the top 10 performers in Week 7 of the 2025 Georgia high school football season. They proved to be double trouble against Camden County. Fennell had 13 carries for 193 yards rushing and four touchdowns, while Foster added four TDs on 13 carries for 131 yards rushing to help lead Valdosta to a 63-19 win over Camden County.

West Laurens running back Ty Cummings rushed for 615 yards and eight touchdowns to lead his team to a 70-55 win over Baldwin. Cummings’ performance shattered the previous single-game rushing record of 605 yards, which was held by former Coffee running back Tyrese Woodgett.

Brunswick quarterback Grant Moore, a senior, completed 14-of-18 passes for 336 yards and four touchdowns to help lead a Pirates comeback from a 17-point deficit in the game’s final five minutes.

Clinch County quarterback Traviian Miller set a school record for both passing yards and TD passes in a single game as he led the Panthers to a 61-14 win over Irwin County. Miller threw seven TDs and passed for 390 yards against the Indians.

Lee County athlete Jordan Bush rushed for 134 yards and one touchdown and passed for 206 yards and one touchdown against Thomas County Central in the Region 2-5A opener for both teams.

Top Defensive Performances

Collins Hill defensive lineman Levi Samecken, a senior, had five tackles, including four tackles for loss, and two quarterback sacks to help lead the Eagles’ defensive effort in their win over Mountain View.

Parkview defensive back Jakaden Mobley, a senior, had seven tackles, including two tackles for loss, and one sack to help the Panthers’ defensive effort against Brookwood.

Top Special Teams Performances

Appling County kicker Alan Ramirez was successful on all three of his field goal attempts of 26 yards, 40 yards, and 45 yards. The 26-yard field goal was the game winner as time expired to give the Pirates a 15-14 win over Fitzgerald.

Wayne County kicker Emanuel Herrera was successful on 3-of-4 field goal attempts in the Yellow Jackets’ win over Warner Robins. His kicks were good from 38 yards, 47 yards, and 56 yards, which broke the school record of 53 yards. Herrera also kicked the 53-yard field goal earlier this year, setting the school record with that kick.
