The 2021-22 Florida High School Girls Basketball season has officially come to an end, and because of this, our 7A-4A Top 25 receives its final update of the season.
DME Academy ends the season as the No. 1 team in our top 25, while 7A-4A state champions American Heritage, Lake Highland Prep, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Dr. Phillips each finished the year in the top 10. State runners-up in Wekiva, Miami, Calvary Christian, and Bishop Moore also finished the year ranked within the top 20, with previous No. 1 Wekiva falling to No. 7 to end the year.

With the conclusion of the 2021-22 Florida High School Girls Basketball season, here is our final Top 25 rankings update for Classes 3A-1A.
Class 1A state champion Ponce De Leon finishes the season with the No. 1 ranking, while Class 3A state champion Westminster Academy finishes the year not far behind at No. 2. Class 2A state champion Miami Christian sees a significant rise in the final update of the season as well finishing the year at No. 4, while a pair of 3A teams runner-up Cardinal Mooney and Florida State also conclude the year in the top 5.

As we enter the Final Four for the 2021-22 Florida High School Girls Basketball season, here is our updated 7A-4A Top 25 rankings.
Class 6A’s Wekiva takes over the No. 1 overall ranking from DME Academy, while Class 7A’s Dr. Phillips sees the biggest rise of the week. As we are now deep into the playoffs, five new teams have entered the Top 25 this week, a group headlined by Class 6A’s Nease at No. 13 and 4A’s Bishop Kenny at No. 18. Three other teams also entered Booker at No. 25, along with Pine Forest and Charlotte from 5A at No.’s 23-24.

It’s officially the Final Four in Florida High School Girls Basketball. Receiving its second-to-last update of the 2021-22 season, here are our updated 3A-1A Top 25 rankings.
Ponce De Leon holds onto the No. 1 ranking entering the week, while other teams in the top five rise including Faith Christian who jumps up to No. 5. Three new teams also enter the Top 25 this week, a group headlined by No. 13 University Christian, as well as 1A’s Port St. Joe at No. 21 and 3A’s Holy Trinity Episcopal at No. 23. As for the biggest risers, that group includes Wildwood, Providence and Carrollwood Day.

With the 2021-22 Florida High School Girls Basketball state tournaments set to begin this week, here is a look at the updated Top 25 rankings for Classes 7A-4A.
While the first half of the top 25 remained unchanged for the most part (aside from small rises from No. 3 Montverde Academy and No. 12 Fort Walton Beach), the bottom half saw change at every spot, as well as two new teams entering the rankings this week. Included in that bottom half were notable drops from Palm Beach Lakes and Lincoln Park, as well as Class 7A’s Vero Beach entering at No. 23, while Class 6A’s Navarre entered at No. 25.

While no big movements in this week’s update, there were a few notable takeaways such as Westminster Academy rising into the top three, Florida State rising up to No. 5, and St. John’s Country Day also rising two spots. In addition to this, two new teams entered the top 25 this week with Class 1A’s Lafayette at No. 23, and Class 3A’s Palmer Trinity entering at No. 25.

As we approach the 2021-22 playoffs, here are our updated Florida High School Girls Basketball Top 25 rankings for Classes 7A-4A.
DME Academy saw the biggest rise of any team this week all the way up to No. 1, while the remainder of the Top 5 remains unchanged for the most part with Wekiva, American Heritage, and Lake Highland Prep right behind. In addition to that notable movement, a total of six new teams entered the Top 25 in this week’s update, headlined by Dr. Phillips and Fort Walton Beach at No. 13-14, as well as two other notable Class 6A teams in Seminole Ridge at No. 19 and Dillard at No. 23.

Ponce De Leon holds a small lead on the No. 1 overall ranking, but could potentially be passed by the rising Brooks DeBartolo Collegiate depending on the result of Saturday’s game between the Pirates and No. 9 Paxton. In addition to a crowded picture for the No. 1 overall ranking, teams such as Evangelical Christian, Faith Christian, and the previously mentioned Paxton all saw notable rises, while five new teams debuted, headlined by Class 3A’s Seffner Christian at No. 14.
