During one of Life Christian Academy’ team practices, Latiek Savoy was dismissed from practice for disciplinary reasons. He returned later with his father and allegedly began to physically assault head coach Charles Scott. Two of Scott’s players quickly jumped to the rescue, but were both later hospitalized for puncture and laceration wounds from being stabbed by Savoy’s father, according to police. Savoy has been dismissed from the school. Both heroic players, ages 17 and 18, have been released from the hospital and are expected to make a full recovery.
