Top 5 Uncommitted 2021 Basketball Recruits
With the basketball recruiting cycle for the Class of 2021 coming to a close, attention now starts to turn to the Class of 2022. However, there are still a few highly rated players from this year’s class still uncommitted. Two of them are in the Top 100 overall. Let’s take a look at the top five uncommitted 2021 basketball recruits.
-
Arthur Kaluma– Dream City Christian (AZ)
The top uncommitted player in the Class of 2021 is also the only player remaining in the Top 50 overall. Rated as the No. 45 player in the country, Kaluma is a four-star PF who is seen as an excellent defender and rebounder. Kaluma was once a UNLV commit, but decommitted from the Rebels back in late April. Kaluma has interest from multiple schools, in particular Arizona, Creighton and Syracuse.
-
Trey Alexander– Heritage Hall (OK)
The other uncommitted recruit listed in the Top 100 overall is four-star SG Trey Alexander. The top-ranked player in the state of Oklahoma was a one-time Auburn signee, and is an excellent offensive combo-guard who has shown the ability to easily create shots for himself. As mentioned previously, Alexander was once an Auburn signee, but decommitted back in late April. Alexander has interest from numerous schools including Oklahoma, Arkansas, Florida State and more.
-
Zaon Collins– Bishop Gorman (NV)
The top uncommitted point guard in the Class of 2021 is Bishop Gorman’s Zaon Collins. Rated as a three-star prospect, Collins is one of the top players in the state of Nevada, and he was once a UNLV commit before he decommitted back in January. Collins is one of the quickest point guards in the country who can be a force in the open-court. The six-foot-one PG has interest from numerous schools, many of which are out west.
-
AJ Neal– West Oaks Academy (FL)
Yet another talented and uncommitted guard is West Oaks Academy’s AJ Neal. Neal is rated as a three-star prospect, as well as one of the Top 20 players in the state of Florida. Neal has interest from multiple schools, but could end up being a very good player at a mid-major program next season.
-
Kordell Charles– IMG Academy (FL)
Another player that could end up being very valuable for a mid-major program is IMG Academy forward Kordell Charles. Charles is a versatile forward who has the ability to play both small and power forward on the court. Charles is rated as a three-star prospect that has interest from a few notable schools including Marquette, Illinois and Tulsa.
Look for these players to make their college decisions in the near future as top high school recruits are set to begin their transition from high school to college programs within the next month or two.
