Kickers may not get the same respect as their teammates who play higher profile positions, but when the game is on the line and the team needs that long field goal to tie or win the game, the kicker is suddenly the most important guy on the field.
Just as we have been ranking the top offensive and defensive positions in the state, here are our Top 10 Georgia high school kickers entering the 2025 football season.
1. Balint Vorosmarty | Roswell | C/O 2026
Roswell kicker Balint Vorosmarty, a senior, enjoyed a 2024 junior season with just one missed field goal, successfully converting on 5-of-6 attempts last season, including his longest of 49 yards. He was perfect on extra points, converting 55-of-55 PATs. Sixty of his 67 kickoffs reached the endzone last season.
Vorosmarty is committed to Georgia State University.
2. Jake Collett | Heritage (Ringgold) | C/O 2026
Heritage (Ringgold) kicker Jake Collett, a senior, was successful on 5-of-8 field goal attempts in 2024, with one of his kicks good from 56 yards, his longest of the season. He was perfect on all of his extra point attempts, connecting on 33-of-33 attempts. He also serves as the Generals’ punter, averaging 41 yards per punt last season.
Collet is a University of Texas commit.
3. Philip Bonacci | Collins Hill | C/O 2026
Senior Philip Bonacci is entering his third season as Collins Hill’s kicker and is rated as a 4.5-star kicker by Kohl’s Kicking. He is rated as the No. 36 overall high school kicker in the country.
Over the past two seasons, Bonacci was successful on 7-of-8 field goal attempts, with a longest of 40 yards. He converted 29-of-33 extra points; the four unsuccessful kicks were blocked, not missed.
4. Aaron McWilliams | East Coweta | C/O 2027
Senior kicker Aaron McWilliams was perfect on kickoffs last season for East Coweta, with all 50 of his kickoffs resulting in touchbacks. He was also near perfect on field goal attempts, connecting on 12-of-13 attempts in 2024. That included his longest of 44 yards.
McWilliams also punts for East Coweta and averaged 39 yards per punt last season.
5. Carter Genchi | Hillgrove | C/O 2026
Hillgrove kicker Carter Genchi is entering his senior season after enjoying a standout junior year in 2024. Of his 62 kickoffs, 56 were touchbacks. He connected on 8-of-11 field goal attempts, with his longest connecting from 45 yards.
Genchi also handles the Hawks’ punting chores and averaged just over 37 yards per punt last year.
6. Wade Register | Trinity Christian | C/O 2026
Trinity Christian senior Wade Register converted 7-of-10 field goal attempts last season, with his longest coming from 48 yards. He was successful on 31-of-32 PATs in 2024, and 37 of his 50 kickoffs were touchbacks.
Register also served as the team’s punter, averaging 47.9 yards per punt with a long of 69 yards. He is considered the nation’s top overall punter and is definitely one of the state’s top kickers.
Register is committed to the University of Georgia.
7. McCarty Harrelson | Troup | C/O 2027
Troup junior McCarty Harrelson was successful on 10-of-13 field goal attempts last season as a sophomore, including his longest of 53 yards, a school record. The record kick was during Troup’s first game of the 2024 season. He was also 52-of-54 on extra point attempts last season.
8. Jake Snyder | Denmark | C/O 2026
Denmark senior Jake Snyder is recognized as one of Georgia’s and the nation’s best punters, rated as a five-star by Chris Sailer Kicking, but he’s also a pretty good kicker. He is a three-star recruit and will be headed to play for Memphis University after committing to the Tigers this offseason.
He was successful on 11-of-13 field goal attempts last season, with his longest from 49 yards out, while connecting on 16-of-18 PATs.
9. Leo Attard | Cambridge | C/O 2026
Cambridge senior Leo Attard was near perfect on both his field goal attempts and extra point attempts last year, connecting on 10-of-11 field goal tries and 41-of-42 PATs. Actually, the only field goal attempt not successfully made was a blocked kick in the state playoffs.
Attard is rated as a five-star kicker by Kohl’s Kicking.
10. Carter Allen | Bremen | C/O 2027
Bremen junior Carter Allen successfully connected on 8-of-9 field goal attempts in 2024. His longest was from 52 yards away, and the one miss was an attempt of over 50 yards.
Allen is also one of the state’s top punters. He had an average of 41 yards per punt. Kohl’s Kicking ranks him as a Top 10 punter in the 2027 class nationally.
