On a national level, some elite talent sits atop the 2023 and 2024 high school classes at quarterback. Here are the top 10 quarterbacks who will lead their teams in the 2022 season.
1. Arch Manning (Isidore Newman, LA)
The Class of 2023’s No. 1 overall recruit, Manning is coming off a junior season in which he threw for 1,947 yards with 26 touchdowns to only four interceptions, while also rushing for 381 yards and seven more scores. A three-year starter at Isidore Newman High School in Louisiana, the five-star prospect has thrown for 6,307 yards with 81 touchdowns to only 17 interceptions across that span.
2. Malachi Nelson (Los Alamitos, CA)
The No. 2 overall recruit in the 2023 class, Nelson is a five-star prospect who’s considered the top player in California. Attending Los Alamitos, the USC commit is coming off a junior season in which he threw for 2,690 yards with 39 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
3. Nicholaus Iamaleava (Long Beach Poly, CA)
Not far behind the top two on our list of top 10 quarterbacks is Iamaleava, a five-star prospect who attends Long Beach Poly High School in California. The Tennessee commit is coming off a junior season in which he threw for 2,244 yards with 33 touchdowns and only one interception.
4. Dante Moore (Martin Luther King, MI)
The final quarterback in the 2023 class who is considered both a five-star prospect and Top 10 player nationally is Moore from Martin Luther King High School in Michigan. Moore is coming off a season in which he posted an eye-popping stat line that included 3,047 passing yards with 40 touchdowns to only three interceptions.
5. Dylan Raiola (Chandler, AZ)
This five-star prospect is potentially the top quarterback in the 2024 class, and possibly even the No. 1 overall player in the class. The Ohio State commit is coming off a sophomore season in which he threw for 3,341 yards with 32 touchdowns to five interceptions.
6. Jadyn Davis (Providence Day, NC)
Sitting alongside Raiola in that conversation for the Class of 2024’s top quarterback is Davis, a five-star prospect from Providence Day School in North Carolina. Davis threw for 1,732 yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore a year ago, while also adding five more scores on the ground.
7. Jaden Rashada (Pittsburg, CA)
The final five-star quarterback in the 2023 class, Rashada attends Pittsburg High School in California. Rashada is coming off an impressive junior season in which he threw for 2,220 yards with 27 touchdowns and five interceptions.
8. Julian Sayin (Carlsbad, CA)
A five-star prospect in the 2024 class, Sayin is coming off an impressive sophomore season at Carlsbad High School in California. Sayin threw for 2,769 yards and 35 touchdowns a year ago, with only five interceptions.
9. Jackson Arnold (Guyer, TX)
Not only is this four-star prospect one of the top quarterbacks in the 2023 class, he’s also one of the top players in Texas. The Guyer High School product, an Oklahoma commit, is coming off a season in which he threw for a total of 3,921 yards with 34 touchdowns and five interceptions, while also rushing for 659 yards and 12 scores.
10. Elijah Brown (Mater Dei, CA)
Brown, the starter for one of the nation’s top teams, completes our list of top 10 quarterbacks. The four-star prospect is coming off a sophomore season that included 2,581 yards and 30 touchdowns with six interceptions.
