Here are ITG Next’s top 10 performers from Week 4 of the 2026 Georgia high school football season.
Top Offensive Performances
Thomasville quarterback Christian Hayes had 16 carries for 111 yards and four rushing touchdowns while completing 7-of-10 passes for 51 yards in the Bulldogs’ win over Worth County. He also added two tackles on defense.
Thomasville defensive back and running back Makari Williams came up with a key interception against Worth County, his fifth interception in three games for the Bulldogs. He also had seven tackles. On offense, Williams rushed for 57 yards on 11 carries.
Lee County running back Jaquavian Sheard was forced into a starting role last week because of injuries and took advantage of his opportunity, rushing for 202 yards and four touchdowns on 23 carries to lead the Trojans to a 48-30 win over Colquitt County.
Houston County running back Austin Stinson rushed for 411 yards and six touchdowns on 27 carries and scored another touchdown on a 100-yard kickoff return, giving him seven touchdowns against Central-Carroll.
Pierce County running back Jea’Veon Williams rushed for 377 yards and four touchdowns in the Bears’ win against Swainsboro.
Top Defensive Performances
Buford linebacker Joshua Echols made eight tackles, including two tackles for loss and two sacks, and had three quarterback hurries to lead the Wolves’ defense against Miami Central.
Worth County linebacker Daylon Smith made 14 tackles for the Rams’ defense against Thomasville.
Top Special Teams Performances
Richmond Hill’s Shane Tucker blocked Ware County’s potential game-winning field goal, and Eli Grant caught the blocked kick and returned it 95 yards for the game-winning touchdown for Richmond Hill.
Tift County athlete Daijon Hayes had an 80-yard punt return for a touchdown and a 58-yard punt return for a touchdown against Crisp County. He also had a 23-yard punt return and two receptions for 32 yards to help lead Tift County to a win over Crisp County in Cordele, Georgia.
Lowndes punter and kicker Jakob Madden continues to flip field position for the Vikings after another strong punting performance against Blanche Ely. He now has a 44.5-yard punting average, with six of his 10 punts downed inside the 20-yard line. Madden has put 20-of-23 kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks with none returned.
