Thomas County Central Flag Football Player Lexi Frysz Voted ITG Next’s November 2025 Georgia Female Athlete of the Month

ITG Next’s November 2025 Georgia Female Athlete of the Month is Thomas County Central High School flag football standout Lexi Frysz.

The junior was one of the top contributors on the Yellow Jackets flag football team this season, which enjoyed its best season since the program started last year with an 8-8 record under head coach Chad Parkerson.

Frysz plays running back and outside linebacker, and she also played on last year’s TCC flag team.

The team finished with a 15-3 record this season, which included a stretch that saw the team win 13 games in a row.

After dropping their season opener against Houston County 14-7, Frysz and her teammates battled back with two straight shutout wins over Mitchell County and Evans. After stumbling against Georgia flag football powerhouse Southeast Bulloch to even their record at 2-2, Frysz and her Thomas County Central Yellow Jackets teammates went on a roll, winning 13 straight contests, including 12 straight region games, which lifted them to an undefeated region mark of 12-0 and the region championship.

TCC won its first playoff game against Rockdale County 41-0 before advancing to the second round of the playoffs, where they lost a tough, 1-point heartbreaker 7-6 to Blessed Trinity.

Frysz certainly did her part to try to get her team to the next round of the playoffs, as she contributed in several areas, just as she has done all season long.

In the playoff loss against Blessed Trinity, her final game of this season, Frysz led the team in rushing with 47 yards on two carries, which included the lone touchdown of the contest for the Yellow Jackets. She also led the team in receptions in the contest, hauling in five catches for 28 yards. On defense, Frysz tied teammate D’laesha Spencer for the most tackles in the game with four tackles. Frysz also had one pass defended and returned a punt for 12 yards in the game.

“I can confidently say that Lexi Frysz embodies everything you hope to see in a student-athlete,” Parkerson said. “Her impact on our program goes far beyond stats or big plays, but she is an explosive play waiting to happen.

“What separates Lexi is her relentless drive. She is elusive, explosive, and poses problems for opposing defenses. Her motor never stops, and she is the same at practices as she is in games. This is a big reason why she performs at a high level on game days for us.”

Parkerson said Frysz is easy to coach, which is another part of what makes her such a great player.

“Lexi is a true competitor, and her athleticism is undeniable, but it’s her coachability that really makes her special,” Perkerson said. “Lexi listens, learns, asks questions, offers suggestions, and applies feedback immediately. That willingness to learn and want to grow makes her a dream to coach.”

Congratulations to Thomas County Central High School junior Lexi Frysz, ITG Next’s November 2025 Georgia Female Athlete of the Month.
