The Final Four: Semifinal Predictions

Don’t look now but the 2015 Georgia High School Football season is almost over. The 6A Final Four sets up two clashes of undefeated titans. All four teams: Colquitt County, Mill Creek, Grayson, & Roswell, are coming off unbelievable performances that have allowed them to remain unscathed.
It was definitely a shootout last week between the lone South Georgia participant, Colquitt, and their opponent South Forsyth. Both high-powered offenses came to play producing a score line that would make Big XII teams jealous. The Packers just had more in the arsenal when it was all said and done, coasting late to a 49-31 win. With two games standing between Colquitt County and continued glory, Coach Prospt needs to get his team focused to complete the mission.

Semifinal Predictions

Colquitt County Packers vs. Mill Creek Hawks

Move over Packers, there’s a new sheriff in town! For the first time this year, Colquitt will not be heading into a game as the #1 team in the state. That title now belongs to Mill Creek. The Hawks are flying at an all-time high right now. After dismantling Archer, they prepare for another worthy advisory. Unfortunately for them, the Packers will be playing with a newfound fire after being relegated to #2. They will remind the voters why they were 2014 6A Georgia State Champs. It will be a nail-bitter, but the boys from Moultrie will prevail and continue the march into the Dome.

Colquitt County 31, Mill Creek 27

Grayson Rams vs. Roswell Hornets

Grayson slowed down one of the best offenses in the state last week, Westlake, and will be looking to do the same this week against Roswell. The Hornets have not played the stiffest of competition in their playoff run, but when it matters most they are still standing victorious. While I don’t think this semifinal will give us the same energy as the other, it will still be an entertaining 48 minutes of football. I’ve got Grayson advancing past Roswell into the state championship by two touchdowns.
Grayson 38, Roswell 24
