St. Frances (MD) Tops IMG Academy (FL)
In what was one of the more high-profile matchups across the country last week, St. Frances Academy (MD) handed IMG Academy (FL) their first loss of the season 34-24. Not only was this the Ascenders first loss of the season, but it also snapped IMG’s 19-game winning-streak, as well as IMG’s first home loss since 2014.
In a game where IMG was without starting quarterback AJ Duffy, the Ascenders fell behind early in the contest due to St. Frances touchdowns from Durell Robinson, Malik Baker, and Lamar Patterson. The final regular season game for the Ascenders, IMG Academy finished the 2021 season with a 9-1 overall record.
