7:30 p.m.

Venue
Mack Tharpe Stadium
Moultrie, Ga.

Regular Season Stats:
Colquitt County: 45.9 points per game; 16.2 points allowed per game
Central Gwinnett: 30.8 points per game; 25.3 points allowed per game

One down, four to go.

The defending-champion Colquitt County Packers made easy work of the North Paulding Wolfpack, defeating them 48-16 in the opening round of the GHSA 2015 Class AAAAAA State Playoffs.

Standing in their way in the second round is a Central Gwinnett squad that had similar success last week; they bested the Walton Raiders (Marietta, Ga.) 49-20 on the Raiders’ home field.  The Black Knights will take the trip down to Moultrie, where the Packers have not lost a game since 2012.

Friday’s matchup will be the first between the two schools, and it is sure to be an exciting one.  The Packers look to continue business as usual; the Black Knights look to accomplish what no team has been able to do since 2013: beat Colquitt County.

Central Gwinnett hopes to use the momentum of an opening-round win on the road; however, the Packers have quite the momentum of their own.  They are currently riding a 25-game win streak in Mack Tharpe Stadium.

The winner of Friday’s game will move on to the next round to face either the Tucker Tigers (Tucker, Ga.) or the South Forsyth War Eagles (Cumming, Ga.) on November 27.
