Top Overall Performance
Buford ATH Tyriq “Ty Boogie” Green led the Wolves in all three areas this past Friday Night. Green had a 67-yard kick return for a TD, a 61-yard rushing TD, and a 50-yard punt return to the 1-yard line to set up another Buford score in Buford’s win over Central Gwinnett. He also had 2 catches for 71 yards On defense, Green had 8 tackles and 1 PBU.
Top Offensive Performers
Roswell Quarterback Trey Smith passed for 162 yards and 3TD’s while rushing for 182 yards and 3 TD’s for a 6-Touchdown Night to lead the Hornets to a big win over Lanier
Deerfield Windsor Senior Receiver Gabe Daniel had 12 receptions for 185 yards and 2 touchdowns to help the Knight defeat Valwood 21-20 and win the GIAA District 3 Class 3A Region Title
Jasper County Senior Quarterback JT Thomas rushed for 146 yards and passed for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Hurricanes to a 42-7 win over Social Circle to keep Ashley Henderson’s Monticello team undefeated at 8-0 overall and in the hunt for the Class 1A D-I Region 4 title.
Crisp Wide Receiver DeShaun Fedd had 8 receptions for 200 yards receiving with 1 touchdown to pace the Cougars offense in their 28-16 win at Pierce County
Top Defensive Performers
Crisp Senior Cornerback Courtney Oliver IV came up with 5 tackles and had 5 Pass Break Ups against Pierce County and keep the Cougars in the lead in their 28-16 win
Worth County LB Brady Weaver had 10 tackles, including 5 tackles for loss and 1 Pass Break Up to lead the Rams defense last week against Bacon County
Houston County LB Western Ard came up huge against Coffee last week with 1 rushing TD on offense and 14 tackles on defense, including 3 tackles for loss and 1 QB sack to lead the Bears to a big region win over the Trojans.
Top Special Team Performers
Peach County Safety Bryson Hughley is one of our week 10 Top Performers with a blocked punt returned for a 38 yard TD on Special Teams, and had 7 tackles plus 3 pass break ups on defense from his safety spot to lead the Trojans to a win over Bainbridge
Newnan Kicker Quint Johnson had a big night on special teams to help his team pick up a big region win over Lovejoy last week. His clutch 30-yard FG gave the Cougars a 10-point lead 38-28, which turned out to be the final. He also was a perfect 5/5 on extra points, and all 7 of his kickoffs were touchbacks. He also had a 47-yard punt that pinned Lovejoy inside their own 5-yard line.
