Roswell QB Trey Smith Among Top 10 Performers in Week 10 of 2025 Georgia High School Football Season

Here are our top 10 performers from Week 10 of the 2025 Georgia high school football season.

Top Overall Performance

Buford athlete Tyriq “Ty Boogie” Green led the Wolves in all three areas this past Friday night. Green had a 67-yard kick return for a TD, a 61-yard rushing TD, and a 50-yard punt return to the 1-yard line to set up another score in Buford’s win over Central Gwinnett. He also had two catches for 71 yards. On defense, Green had eight tackles and one pass breakup.

Top Offensive Performances

Roswell quarterback Trey Smith passed for 162 yards and three TDs while rushing for 182 yards and three TDs for a six-touchdown night to lead the Hornets to a big win over Lanier.

Deerfield-Windsor wide receiver Gabe Daniel, a senior, had 12 receptions for 185 yards and two touchdowns to help the Knights defeat Valwood 21-20 and win the GIAA District 3 Class 3A region title.

Jasper County quarterback JT Thomas, a senior, rushed for 146 yards and passed for 123 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Hurricanes to a 42-7 win over Social Circle to keep head coach Ashley Henderson‘s Monticello team undefeated at 8-0 overall and in the hunt for the Region 4 title in Class 1A-Division I.

Crisp County wide receiver Deshaun Fedd had eight receptions for 200 yards receiving with one touchdown to pace the Cougars’ offense in their 28-16 win at Pierce County.

Top Defensive Performances

Crisp County cornerback Courtney Oliver IV, a senior, came up with five tackles and had five pass breakups against Pierce County to keep the Cougars in the lead in their 28-16 win.

Worth County linebacker Brady Weaver had 10 tackles, including five tackles for loss, and one pass breakup to lead the Rams’ defense last week against Bacon County.

Houston County linebacker Westen Ard came up huge against Coffee last week with one rushing TD on offense and 14 tackles on defense, including three TFLs and one QB sack, to lead the Bears to a big region win over the Trojans.

Top Special Teams Performances

Peach County safety Bryson Hughley is one of our Week 10 top performers with a blocked punt returned for a 38-yard TD on special teams. He also had seven tackles and three PBUs on defense from his safety spot to lead the Trojans to a win over Bainbridge.

Newnan kicker Quint Johnson had a big night on special teams to help his team pick up a region win over Lovejoy last week. His clutch 30-yard field goal gave the Cougars a 10-point lead 38-28, which turned out to be the final. He was a perfect 5-for-5 on extra point attempts, all seven of his kickoffs were touchbacks, and he had a 47-yard punt that pinned Lovejoy inside its own 5-yard line.
