Recovery Options for Competitive Athletes

Whether you are a golfer or a runner, cheerleader or ball player, the risk of injury is always present. From practices through game days, recovery should be an essential part of exercise and practice routines. Most athletes recognize that caring for their body doesn’t end when the game or practice is over. The care athletes give their bodies in the hour or two after exercise determines how successfully their bodies recover in time for their next physical activity. Beneficial recovery activities include but are not limited to stretching, active recovery, massage therapy, hydrotherapy, hydration, and nutrition.
