Rabun County Guard Huey Blalock Among Top Performers in 2026 GHSA Boys Basketball State Championships

Here are our top 10 performers from the 2026 GHSA boys basketball state championship games.

Rabun County guard Huey Blalock, a senior, led the Wildcats to their first boys basketball state title with 29 points, six rebounds, five assists, and two steals in a 52-43 win over Southwest-Macon in the Class 1A-Division I finals.

Wheeler guard Colben Landrew, a senior, scored 29 points and pulled down 12 rebounds to lead the Wildcats to a second straight Class 6A state championship with a 62-52 win over Pebblebrook.

Morgan County point guard Zeki Locus, a senior, hit two free throws with six seconds left in overtime to give his team the lead and a 53-52 win over Butler in the Class 2A state championship game. Locus led the team in scoring with 20 points and had 13 rebounds and two steals.

Alexander point guard Gregory “Pops” Dunson Jr., a senior, led his team to the Class 5A state championship with 25 points, four rebounds, six assists, and one steal in an 81-67 win over Woodward Academy. Earlier this season, Dunson became the Cougars’ all-time leading scorer.

St. Pius X guard Harris Reynolds, a senior, scored 23 points while grabbing nine rebounds with one assist, two steals, and two blocks to lead the Golden Lions to the Class 4A state championship and complete an undefeated 33-0 season with a 54-51 win over Pace Academy.

Woodward Academy sophomore Bentley Lusakueno scored 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the War Eagles’ Class 5A state finals loss.

Darlington junior DJ Hall led the Tigers to the Private class state championship with a 30-point performance. His two late free throws clinched the 53-50 win over defending state champion Holy Innocents’.

Cross Creek guard Dontrell Jackson, a senior, led his team to the Class 3A state championship with 25 points and seven rebounds in a 56-51 win over Harlem.

Clinch County sophomore Traviian “Chunk” Miller led the Panthers to a 63-43 win in the Class 1A-Division II state championship with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and three assists.

Butler guard Kwamane Bridges, a senior, led his team’s efforts in the Class 2A championship game with 22 points in a 1-point overtime loss.
