North Central Florida Girls Flag Football Class 1A All-State Selections
With the 2020-2021 high school sports season all but wrapped up, this time of year now provides the opportunity to see who put on the best performances this school year. The All-State teams for the Florida high school girls flag football season were released for Classes 1A and 2A. And while there are a number of schools that had multiple players selected, below are the athletes from Class 1A who represented a few of the teams from the North Central Florida area. These players either received All-State or honorable mention recognition.

Third Team: Maci Campbell, WR/DB, Suwannee High School
Campbell was one of three Suwannee players to either make the Class 1A All-State Teams or receive an honorable mention. The sophomore had a stellar season for the Bulldogs, as she made an impact on offense threw the air and on the ground. Campbell had 851 yards rushing and nine touchdowns, while also adding an additional 578 yards and seven touchdowns through the air, according to an article in the Lake City Reporter. Defensively, she was just as good, recording six interceptions and 39 pulls.
Honorable Mention: Leigh Wood, DB, Suwannee High School
The senior defensive back was also just as impactful for the Bulldogs this past season. Wood was a playmaker on both sides of the football, recording 27 receptions for 428 yards and five touchdowns on offense, according to an article in the Lake City Reporter. Additionally, she had five interceptions and 21 pulls on defense.
Honorable Mention: Amyah Jones, LB, Suwannee High School
Jones, like Wood, also put up some impressive numbers on the defensive side of the football that led to her receiving an honorable mention from the FACA. According to the Lake City Reporter, Jones had 68 pulls and intercepted eight passes for the Bulldogs this past season. She returned three of the interceptions for touchdowns and also had six pass breakups.
Honorable Mention: Rose Gravel, LB, Ocala Trinity Catholic
While the freshman received the honorable mention as a linebacker, Gravel made an impact on both sides of the football for the Celtics. She appeared in eight games this past season and record 10 interceptions, according to MaxPreps. Furthermore, Gravel hauled in 29 receptions for 330 yards and five touchdowns on offense.
Honorable Mention: Nikaejah Green, LB, Ocala Lake Weir
The senior helped lead the Hurricanes to a 7-4 record this past season and was also a playmaker on both sides of the football. Green played multiple positions on offense and recorded 87 yards passing and two touchdowns, according to MaxPreps. She also added 96 yards on the ground and 110 yards receiving with one touchdown. Defensively, Green had a team-leading 59 pulls for Lake Weir.
