Nease Looks to Prove Last Year was a Fluke

The Nease Panthers have always been a solid football program. However, last season, that reputation took a tumble.

In 2015, the Panthers went 7-4 and were undefeated in their district. Something that is difficult to do regardless of your division.

However, last season didn’t yield similar results. The Panthers finished last season with an abysmal record of 2-7 and going 1-4 in their district. This is out of the norm for a football program who has produced prolific NFL players like Time Tebow and Mario Butler.

The Panthers have to step up if they want to dominate their district once again. They may have the talent needed in seniors, Zach Sheffer and Ashton Wood. The loss of senior quarterback, Leighton Alley, could cause trouble again for the Panthers.

Nease faces the ever difficult Ponte Vedra Sharks again this season, which will prove to be one of their toughest games. They also have a difficult game against the Bartram Trail Bears.

We are hopeful that Nease can return to its days of glory in the 2017 season.
